Dammu beats Racha by huge margin!

Written By CineGlamour on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 | 11:09 am

NTR's summer release Dammu has already started showing signs of creating a tsunami at the box office. The film is going to release in record number of theaters across the globe. Dammu is going to be screened in almost all the screens in Guntur and Vijayawada on the first day, except for the theaters playing Racha.

Dammu is all set to create new record for release centers in Karnataka state. Recently a GO was passed lifting away the limitations of other language films release in Karnataka. Racha was the first to be benefitted with it. It was released in about hundred theaters in Karnataka on first day. Due to gigantic release, Racha raked in more than 2 crores share in first week from Karnataka alone.

Now Dammu is going to release in more than 150 theaters in Karnataka thus beating Racha record by a huge margin. If Dammu gets positive talk then the first week share from Karnataka will be huge. Odds are fully in positive of Dammu to set a new record in opening day collections. If everything is in its favor, it will beat Racha first week collections record to be the numero uno in first week records.

I'm just Ram Charan, not Ram Charan Teja

While the media and the public has began referring to him by the name Ram Charan Tej since a very long time, the actor himself seems to be unhappy with it. He prefers to be called Ram Charan over Ram Charan Tej.

Finally, Charan has decided to clarify this to one and all. He used the social media to send this message the film lovers and the media. "My dad named me Ram Charan not Ram Charan Tej. So I feel good when people call me just "Ram Charan". I also request the media to note this," he wrote on his twitter page.

Now the question is why didn't the actor object when the director's used Ram Charan Teja in the title cards of his film. Times change, people change, tastes change! So everybody, from now onwards Mega Powerstar is just Ram Charan, not Ram Charan Tej!

'Flops Taught Me That I Missed Family'

Written By CineGlamour on Saturday, April 21, 2012 | 4:42 pm

One will be happier if they score success and upset if flops knock their door. But, things are reverse with this highly talented music director. Folks, here goes the story of 'Swara brahma' Mani Sharma.

After scoring enthralling music for years, Mani Sharma is tumbling these days with full of average movies and flop music. But, he states that he is much happier now than at the times of his career peak. 'When I gave hits continuously, I used to go home late in the nights and get up in the afternoon. I missed how my son has grown up', says Mani. 'All of a sudden I have noticed that he is 6ft height. Then it struck my mind that I missed my family all these years in the name of successes', he emotionally uttered.

This classic musician says that flops are also required some times to remind you about your wife and kids. He concludes that he is all happy for his sprawling 15 years career as a music director in Tollywood and not worried about future. Mani is all set to turn producer with a high budgeted 3d supernatural flick in Hindi circuit!

Chiru's Brain Wash Is Working On Charan!

Written By CineGlamour on Friday, April 20, 2012 | 10:22 am

Many mega fans feel that Megapower Star has surpassed Mega Star in many aspects, but the star himself never feels like that. See how his father's brainwash worked on him to get back on track.

RamCharan's rocking career took a slump all of a sudden with his hyped movie 'Orange' going rotten at Box Office. Even before this movie, he has taken considerably long time to commit a film as he basked in the glory of 'Magadeera' for months. After 'Orange', Charan signed 'Merupu' which got no lightning but sound in it. There came Chiru to put things on track. Apparently, Chiru brainwashed his star-kid to not waste time by thinking unnecessarily about quality and meaningful cinema. Megastar forced Charan to accept 'Racha', because he knows the power of mass-movies quite well.

With those tips given by dad, Charan is now shocking everyone with his travelling through multiple projects at same time after scoring a hit with 'Racha'. He is going to work back to back on VV Vinayak movie, Yevadu and Zanjeer. What do you say guys?

Ram Charan kept his word given to fans

Ram Charan has given his nod for the 50 days celebrations of his action entertainer 'Racha' in Kurnool on May 24th. The film opened to an earth shattering collections and it is still going strong in its third week at the Box Office. It also broke the first day, first week records and sealed its place in the list of Top 3 highest grossers in the Industry.

It may be recalled that the audio launch of 'Racha' was about to take place in Kurnool. But due to some issues, the makers had changed the venue to Hyderabad. The local Mega fans had expressed their displeasure at that time over the last minute change of venue. To calm down the fans, Charan has assured to them that the 50 days function will be held at Kurnool. Now, he kept his word and gave them a reason to celebrate.

It was in Kurnool (Lakshmi theatre), Charan's magnum opus 'Magadheera' ran for 2 years at a strecth, which is touted to be a rare record in the Industry. Currently, Racha team has been scouting the venues for the 50 days function of the film in district. Let's hope that the 50 days celebrations would be as big as its audio launch!

Nagarjuna should do 'Racha' Business

Written By CineGlamour on Thursday, April 19, 2012 | 10:21 am

Akkineni Nagarjuna's next attraction is Dhamarukam movie directed by Srinivasa Reddy which is likely to release in June. RR Movie Makers produced this socio fantasy film. This is one of the costliest movies ever made in Tollywood. As per unofficial sources the film's budget is around 40 crore rupees. This film needs so much graphics work and currently it is going on.

Making a film with 40 crore rupees budget is not a joke. Nagarjuna never tasted a success that collected more than twenty five crores in his career spanning over twenty five years. So this is the biggest risk anybody could take. Also director Srinivasa Reddy is not known for making high budget films. A four crore film director handling a film of forty crores budget seems like a fairy tale.

If Dhamarukam has to survive and get back the investment, Nagarjuna will have to pull off a feat something like Ram Charan. Racha film is poised to collect more than forty crores. Even Racha was made with a smalltime director. Ram Charan's star power did the trick and made the film a winner at the box office. Nagarjuna will have to do something that he hasn't ever done in his entire career to make Dhamarukam a hit. Let's hope Nag does it in style.

Top 3 spot confirmed for Racha!

Written By CineGlamour on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 | 8:55 pm

Mass movies will never impress critics and they don't get better reviews from anyone, but if they strike the right chords with the target audience, then sky is the limit. Most of the frontline critics have written off Racha as a poorly made film, but they failed to read the commercially viable elements in the film. That is the reason why the film got super hit talk right from the first show.

Other heroes fans and the people who have written it off waited for the film to slow down after first weekend. But Racha's racha continued until the first week records were shattered. Even then it hasn't slowed down. The collections on 13th day are steady without a hint of drop. 2 weeks collections of Racha will stand above 2 weeks collections of Businessman, which is currently in the 3rd spot in all time hits list.

After Magadheera (70+ crores), Dookudu (55+ crores) only Businessman managed to cross 40 crore mark and it is right now in the third position. But Racha is going to take its place for sure as per the collections trend. There will not be any strong opposition for Racha in its third week too. Therefore the dream run will continue until Dammu arrives. Which means Racha in all probabilities will make it to top 3 list. Of course if Dhammu clicks and reach the expectations then Racha's third rank would be at stake. Who knows even Dookudu might be toppled if not Magadheera.

NTR throws kerchief on Racha director

Well, any director who delivers a blockbuster with a top hero can rest assured that they would get a call from young NTR. NTR always runs after success and successful film formulas to bag hits. He tried to recreate the magic of Pokiri and Magadheera with Kantri and Shakti respectively. Needless to say about the fate of those films at the box office.

However, that didn't stop NTR from following the 'hit' trend. He signed Boyapati Srinu after Simha and Srinu Vytla after Dookudu. Should we specially say that these films would be in the similar lines of their previous movies? After these movies, NTR will be doing one of his future films under Sampath Nandi's direction.

Sampath Nandi proved that he could pull off a star's film with a routine story and concept. His screenplay and grip over commercial elements played major role in making Racha a blockbuster. NTR, who watched Racha recently was reportedly impressed with Sampath's work and is showing interest to do a film under his banner. If all goes well, Aswini Dutt will produce this film on Vyjayanthi movies banner.

NTR is the next Number 1

Written By CineGlamour on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 | 10:37 am

In January, when Mahesh broke records with Businessman, right after scoring a blockbuster with Dookudu, many felt that he is the next number one hero of Tollywood after Chiranjeevi. When Mahesh fans firmly believe in their star's potential and when other heroes fans are slowly getting convinced by it, in came Racha and the debate about number one is on again.

Ram Charan posed serious doubts to the people who have written him off from the number one race. With a very weak script and an almost unknown director Ram Charan pulled off a mega heist at the box office with Racha. This shows his caliber and crowd pulling capabilities. Now who all have given full credit to Rajamouli for Magadheera's success are giving Ram Charan his due. As of now anybody among Mahesh, Pawan, NTR and Charan can be the next number one.

Only thing that counts is consistency. Mahesh never delivered more than couple of hits in a row. Pawan used to be immensely consistent in the past and NTR's biggest weakness has been inconsistency. Charan needs to deliver a series of hits to be up there. Until then whoever breaks the first week records with their star power will be considered the number 1 until some other hero come and breaks it. NTR is in the queue and stands a big chance to be the next number one as per this theory. All he needs is a 30+ crore share in the first week!

Racha's dream run continues

Written By CineGlamour on Saturday, April 14, 2012 | 12:03 pm

Ram Charan's Racha has created a new record in openings. It collected more than 30 crore rupees share in first week and thus beating Businessman's record. Not many believed Racha to do such business after watching the first morning show. Critics ruled out the film's success due to average content.

However, Charan proved everyone wrong by creating a new record in openings. What's astonishing is the film is still getting superb patronage all over. Racha entered second week already and on the ninth day too it has collected very good collections in majority centers. Crowds for matinee and first shows are excellent. Even though there is a slight drop in the morning shows, Racha's run has been phenomenal given its wide release.

Due to public demand, Racha is going to be screened extra 3 shows on this Sunday at RTC X Roads. That shows the film's great run at the box office. At this rate, Racha is surely going to enter forty crore club. Adding to that Racha is also released in Tamil and Malayalam in a big way. Ram Charan turns out to be the new Baadshah of box office with Racha.

Ram Charan's Hot heroine gets equal remuneration

Written By CineGlamour on Friday, April 13, 2012 | 10:05 pm

It is often said that the film industry is a male dominated stream and the place of heroines is only for entertaining the audience through their beauty and provide the required glamour. However, all that has been changing over the time and today there are many starlets who have their own presence.

This might sound unbelievable but then can you imagine a heroine getting a remuneration equivalent to mega powerstar Ram Charan Tej? Well, it is happening for real. Sources from Mumbai reveal the pout lipped beauty Priyanka Chopra is getting a whopping Rs 9 crores as her remuneration.

This is for the remake of the movie 'Zanjeer' which marks the debut of Charan in Bollywood. Earlier, there was a slight confusion on whether Priyanka would say yes or not but sources say the producers were very particular that she be part of the project and were willing to shell out the extra money. Let us hope this is just a gossip and nothing more.

Censor Closed Eyes On 'Racha'

For folks who are new, Dhanalaxmi is a half Telugu, half Tamil Censor officer for AP Censor board. She is known for her 'sharp cutting' works which give tensions to producers and directors. But, her attitude towards 'Racha' became a hot discussion now.

Dhanalaxmi is known for her iron cutting in terms of heroine's waist, navel and cleavage shots. Films like 'Buisnessman' and 'Panjaa' haven't escaped from her scissors and had blurred images all over the skin shows of female artists. Coming to 'Racha', the film was given a U/A certificate saying that all bloodshed was completely eliminated. Then, what about Tamanna's seductive skin shows? Milky beauty made most of her assets pierce the hearts of youth through her glamour on screen.

In 'Vaana Vaana' song alone Tammu babe oscillates her waist and hip, around three times in front of camera giving an ample view of her shapely back. 'How come Dhanalaxmi spared such a hot show of Tamanna in 'Racha' by closing her eyes', a big-shot producer questioned. They say, this officer doesn't like cleavage and navel show, but bare-backs are fine with her.

Racha collects record first week share

Ram Charan has set a new benchmark in terms of collections with his recent outing 'Racha'. The film which was released on April 5th turned into a money spinner at the Box Office.

In just one week, the film has raked in Rs 26.92 crore in AP and Karnataka. If the revenues of Overseas, Tamil Nadu (Tamil version Ragalai) and Rest Of India are included, then the first share will be nearly Rs 35 crore. In it's full run, the collections of Racha are expected to cross the 50 crore mark. So, it's celebration time for the Mega fans!

Milky Babe charges Rs 60 lakhs for 6 days & 6 nights

Milky white beauty Tamanna has replaced Genelia in promoting a soft drink brand 'Fanta' in the Southern region.

Till recently, Genelia has been endorsing the brand. After her marriage with long-time boyfriend Riteish Deshmukh, the soft drink major Coca Cola has decided to replace her with another beauty who can pull it off, instead of renewing the agreement. Finally, the company has roped in Tamanna as their new brand ambassador.

"I'm very selective, when it comes to endorsing a product or a brand. I prefer the brands which suit my image and age. This is a good opportunity to stay in touch with my fans," said Tamanna, when quizzed about the deal.

For a six day call sheet per year, Tamanna will be paid a staggering Rs 60 lakhs. Depending on the requirements, the company will use the services of actress during this period either for promotions or for photoshoots of the brand. With this deal, Tamanna has entered into the list of Top League brand ambassadors. Looks like, She is already enjoying the fruits of 'Racha' success.

Ram Charan slaps in the face of Critics

The success of Racha might have given a reason for the fans to be happy, but it's definitely not a good news for the critics as their prediction turned wrong. On the first day of release itself, the film was written off by critics. Despite average content and not so encouraging reviews, 'Racha' broke the existing records in the first week.

However, the critics were not ready to give the credit to the film or it's team for the record collections, instead blaming the audience for making it success. "The success of 'Racha' is proof for the bad taste of Telugu people. Encouraging such films (5 songs, 5 fights, editing lapses and illogical scenes) is like given license to few more meaningless projects," commented a senior film critic.

On the other hand, the unit of Racha slam the critics. "Right from its inception, the team of Racha never claimed that they are making a completely different or thought provoking film. All that they said was that their film is a commercial entertainer targeted to please the fans. Giving what people expect/want from us is always the right thing to do. We make films for the Audience, not Critics," said a source close to Charan.

The success of Racha has taught a lesson to the critics - 'Audience Are The Bosses', as they are the ones who can make or break a film! It's like a slap in the face of Critics!

Racha doubles Expectations on Gabbar Singh

Ram Charan's Racha has been doing exceptional business all over. There is no noticeable drop in collections even after seven days. The film is running to packed houses despite being released in many theaters. Mega fans are extremely happy with Racha's success and they are now eagerly waiting to watch Gabbar Singh's Racha at BO.

When Ram Charan's average movie can do these many wonders with a wide release, what can Pawan's film do with a good talk? This is the hottest discussion topic among the Tollywood lovers. None of Pawan's movies received good positive talk on the first day in the last decade. Even then Pawan's craze has been multiplied irrespective of his films performance.

Even other heroes fans agree that Pawan has immense craze and all he needs is a decent talk to pull off a blockbuster. Gabbar Singh looks more than promising in that aspect. Hence, fans are confidently saying that Racha is just a trailer and Gabbar Singh will show the real movie to one and all.

Ram Charan no more a one-film wonder

Written By CineGlamour on Thursday, April 12, 2012 | 1:18 pm

The success of Racha has not only given a grand start to the Tollywood in the summer season but for Ram Charan as well.

Although Ram Charan proved his mettle as an actor with magnum opus Magadheera, most of the credit for the film's success has gone to SS Rajamouli. Finally, Racha has showcased the actual calibre of Ram Charan and its success is also a proof of his strong following among the masses. Though Sampath Nandi is not a big name in the Industry, Charan pulled it off with his star power. It's once again proven that directors can make commercially viable films, but the reach and the collections depend mostly on the heroes.

With this success, Charan got rid of the 'one-film wonder' tag and also sent indications that he is a hot contender for the No.1 slot. Who doesn't want to be on the top? Mahesh and NTR - Are you watching?

Racha record 5 days share in AP

Written By CineGlamour on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 | 3:12 pm

Mega Powerstar Ram Charan's Racha has been recording mind boggling figures all over. The first five days share in AP has set a new record.

Racha collected a share of Rs 2 crore in Karnataka for just 5 days. The film has been getting good response in Overseas as well. There could be slight changes in the above mentioned figures. Producers are yet to release the collections break up for five days. Despite average content, Ram Charan's action entertainer is doing wonders at the Box Office. It has set a new benchmark in opening week collections and is still going strong with more than 80% collections all over AP.

Racha seals place in All Time Top 5 Grossers list

Ram Charan's Racha has turned into a huge money spinner at the Box Office. Despite having many flaws, the film is still able to continue its dream run. The first week share of the film is expected to be anywhere between Rs. 25-30 crore only in India, which means the new record for first week collections will be in the name of Racha surpassing Businessman. Racha's numbers in overseas are also very good.

The trade pundits say, Racha is poised to become one of the biggest hits ever in the history of TFI. As of now it has all chances to be in the list of all time top 5 grossers of Tollywood. As the next biggie 'Dammu' was postponed to April 27th of this month, there seems to be no stopping for Racha now. Which means a solid run for few more days ensures that Racha will make it to the top 3 list.

In a four films career, two of his films (Magadheera (No.1 position) and Racha) sealed place in the list of TOP 5 Grosser movies in the Industry. This is a remarkable achievement and a benchmark set by the heir of Megastar Chiranjeevi. Great going Charan!

'Racha' Is Show-Reel For Ram Charan

Written By CineGlamour on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 | 7:18 pm

Some movies never stand out as 'masterpiece' but they lay foundation for the prosperity of their hero. Looks like, same thing is happening with 'Racha' for our Mega Power Star.

Irrespective of an old fashioned story and simple narration, Racha is doing wonders at Box Office only due to the stamina of RamCharan. 'With that thumping energy and thunderous voice, Charan proved the real star in him. It is working in his favor to woo producers from different cine circuits', say critics. Right from Bollywood to Kollywood many big production houses are now gearing up to sign deals with Charan after watching his sparkling show in this latest flick.

A source from Hindi circuit reveals that if Charan scores marks with his Bolly debut 'Zanjeer', then there is no doubt he will become 'star' across the Indian film circuits. One can now say, Racha is more of a showreel of Charan to impress producers than a blockbuster movie.
