Mahesh Babu's new record with Boyapati project

With back to back blockbusters Dookudu and Businessman, Mahesh Babu is arguably holding the top slot. Not just in terms of fan following but the kind of success he generates at the box office with his movies is mindblowing. Now, it is heard that he has set another record.

News is that Mahesh has signed a new movie with the mass hit director Boyapati Srinu and here is the byte. It is heard that Mahesh is getting a whopping Rs 15 crores as remuneration for this one. This is being produced by Burugupalli Sivaramakrishna and sources say the title is likely to be 'Ruler'.

If this news is true then Mahesh has created a new record in Tollywood history and he has also become the highest paid actor in the industry. With Mahesh at his peak of success and Boyapati scoring nonstop hits, one can imagine the fireworks and hysteria when both of them team up for a project.

Racha record 5 days share in AP

Mega Powerstar Ram Charan's Racha has been recording mind boggling figures all over. The first five days share in AP has set a new record.

Racha collected a share of Rs 2 crore in Karnataka for just 5 days. The film has been getting good response in Overseas as well. There could be slight changes in the above mentioned figures. Producers are yet to release the collections break up for five days. Despite average content, Ram Charan's action entertainer is doing wonders at the Box Office. It has set a new benchmark in opening week collections and is still going strong with more than 80% collections all over AP.

Racha seals place in All Time Top 5 Grossers list

Ram Charan's Racha has turned into a huge money spinner at the Box Office. Despite having many flaws, the film is still able to continue its dream run. The first week share of the film is expected to be anywhere between Rs. 25-30 crore only in India, which means the new record for first week collections will be in the name of Racha surpassing Businessman. Racha's numbers in overseas are also very good.

The trade pundits say, Racha is poised to become one of the biggest hits ever in the history of TFI. As of now it has all chances to be in the list of all time top 5 grossers of Tollywood. As the next biggie 'Dammu' was postponed to April 27th of this month, there seems to be no stopping for Racha now. Which means a solid run for few more days ensures that Racha will make it to the top 3 list.

In a four films career, two of his films (Magadheera (No.1 position) and Racha) sealed place in the list of TOP 5 Grosser movies in the Industry. This is a remarkable achievement and a benchmark set by the heir of Megastar Chiranjeevi. Great going Charan!

No Fake-Business for Racha

Ram Charan's Racha has put an end to unhealthy trend of announcing fake figures. There were few films in the recent past that bloated up the actual collections which created dirty atmosphere in Tollywood. When Racha officially broke the actual first day record, few expressed doubts that this film may tread in the same trend and announce fake numbers.

But the producers of Racha simply announced the official figure (8.5 crores share) which was very close to reality (8 crores +) and also declared that their movie has set a new record for the opening day. So there won't be any need for the following up biggies to fake the actual figures as there is a genuine record to break.

Producers of Racha are very seniors in the film industry and they know that they don't gain any respect by announcing fake collections. Hence, they stuck to the facts and won the fans hearts. New producers are trying to draw the attention of industry by announcing fake records. That may get them instant popularity, but will never earn them respect. Harsh, but true!

Racha 2 days share in AP is Rs. 13 crore

Ram Charan’s Racha has been shaking the box office right from the first show was screened. It has set a new record in day 1 collections by surpassing Oosaravelli and Businessman. Racha didn’t see any drop on the second day.

Friday being a public holiday helped the film to get excellent collections. On day 2 the collections in AP alone are close to Rs. 5 crores. Which means the total tally for two days is Rs. 13 crores. Racha is likely to cross Rs. 20 crore mark by the weekend.

Ram Charan’s Racha has clicked well with the mass audience and the reports from B and C centers are phenomenal. A centers too are running to housefuls as of now despite mixed talk from urban areas.

NTR, it's time to show your Dammu

Racha managed to get the second biggest release ever in Tollywood's history and still went on to create a new record for day 1. With Racha raking in such huge collections, Nandamuri fans are expecting similar reception for Dammu. Chances are highly likely for Dammu to get a big release. So will NTR break Racha opening day record on 27th April?

NTR has set a new benchmark for day 1 collections with Oosaravelli movie and that too in the wave of Dookudu. Of course that was on Dussera and films generally draw good collections on that day. Now NTR has a bigger challenge with Dammu. Will he show his Dammu yet again? Luckily he has Boyapati Srinivas to his support and the buzz on this film is extremely positive.

If Dammu gets a release as good as Businessman and Racha, chances are very high for the movie to create new record for day 1. Which means Racha's day 1 record won't even long for four weeks. Let us see if NTR shows that Telugu cinema potential is much bigger than Racha or not? Also NTR should deliver a blockbuster that can exceed 40 crore mark to prove his credentials and the hype surrounding him right.
