Will 'A' certificate damage 'Dammu'?

Written By CineGlamour on Saturday, April 21, 2012 | 4:49 pm

The most talked about movie of the summer season is 'Dammu' and this has young tiger Jr NTR in the lead while Boyapati Srinu is the director. Now, for any movie, the censor certificate plays a key role and 'Dammu' has been given a clean 'A' certificate owing to its heavy violence and bloodshed.

The cine pundits are speculating over the chances of an 'A' damaging the film's collections. As such, 'Dammu' is touted as a full length commercial masala entertainer so it is meant for the masses. But the certification would damage Dammu in the way family audience avoid it.

However, there are many films which got 'A' but still scored blockbusters. And 'Dammu' has the potential to be one. In a way, the censor certificate has got an indirect impact on the public feel but with NTR's fan following and the tremendous hype created for it, 'Dammu' might show its Dammu at the box office.

Dhammu Movie Review By Censor

Written By CineGlamour on Friday, April 20, 2012 | 10:53 am

Dhammu Censor Report
CBFC Rating: 'A'
Movie Rating: 4/5

On the screen:

  •     The movie starts from some flash back note which happened  long back.
  •     The story turns towards the present situation and enters the city. The first 40 minutes of the movie goes in an entertaining way with out and out comedy.
  •     The movie heads to the interval bang with a mighty twist which is said to be the turning point of this movie. The interval bang is the highlight of the movie where Tarak completely exploded his acting skills with his roaring performance.
  •     The story starts gripping from the second half filled with the family emotions. Scenes between Tarak, Abhinaya and Venu got well.
  •     Pre-Climax is quite interesting and heads to the climax with the wild rage of revenge drama.
  •     Aggressive expressions of Tarak are fabulous. His expressions are just like never before and never after.
  •     Climax is extraordinary and finally movie is going to end with the great applause.

Off the screen:
  •     The movie unit faced some problems from Censor Board members during some scenes.
  •     The movie faced 3 audio cuttings totally which the unit was advised to replace the dialogues.
  •     The Censor Board members requested to play the 'Ruler' Song for twice as they had fallen in love with the visuals of that song.
  •     Appreciations received to Tarak from members for his action. It was said that he looked more glamorous in 'Vaasthu Baagundhe' Song.
  •     Some scenes in the movie had stolen the heart of members which were played twice.
Highlights of the Movie:
  • No, doubt the first credit should be awarded to the Young Tiger itself for his 'Viswaroopam'. This movie is going to be the another one man show movie of this year.
  • Director Boyapati Seenu just rocked away all the aspects in this movie. There is a great improvement of comedy in this movie compared to his previous movies.
  • 'Ruler' song is the back bone of this movie. The visuals of the song are going to be anther creative wonder in the tollywood.
  • M.M.Keeravani's Background music is the asset of the movie. His high voltage music during the pre-climax will not make the audience to sit in their seats.
  • All the technicians proved themselves up to their mark.
  • Interval Twist
Negatives of the Movie:

As NTR has mighty following in the mass audience, this movie is completely for them. Though this movie had mixed with some family emotions over-violence may affect the family audience.
Trisha just looked like aunty again. Her pair with Tarak was not too good. Indeed Tarak dominated her with this glamour itself in this movie.

Interval Dialogue:

NTR to Nazar:  "Charithra ni emana nee amma kanindhaa raa.. Charithra srushtinche vaadu epudu cheppi raadu.. Vasthadu....Charithra Srushtishatu.. Vellipothadu"..

Final Word:

Young tiger is back with his mass masala action for his die hard fans. This movie will surely satisfy the hunger of Nandamuri fans who were waiting for mass movie after Simha.

NTR is the next Number 1

Written By CineGlamour on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 | 10:37 am

In January, when Mahesh broke records with Businessman, right after scoring a blockbuster with Dookudu, many felt that he is the next number one hero of Tollywood after Chiranjeevi. When Mahesh fans firmly believe in their star's potential and when other heroes fans are slowly getting convinced by it, in came Racha and the debate about number one is on again.

Ram Charan posed serious doubts to the people who have written him off from the number one race. With a very weak script and an almost unknown director Ram Charan pulled off a mega heist at the box office with Racha. This shows his caliber and crowd pulling capabilities. Now who all have given full credit to Rajamouli for Magadheera's success are giving Ram Charan his due. As of now anybody among Mahesh, Pawan, NTR and Charan can be the next number one.

Only thing that counts is consistency. Mahesh never delivered more than couple of hits in a row. Pawan used to be immensely consistent in the past and NTR's biggest weakness has been inconsistency. Charan needs to deliver a series of hits to be up there. Until then whoever breaks the first week records with their star power will be considered the number 1 until some other hero come and breaks it. NTR is in the queue and stands a big chance to be the next number one as per this theory. All he needs is a 30+ crore share in the first week!

Politics Behind N-Heroes Absence At ANR Function

Written By CineGlamour on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 | 4:59 pm

When the whole bunch of star heroes or at least one member from each star-family is present, Nandamuri heroes haven't even flashed the occasion. We are talking about the absence of one star-film-family at ANR's platinum year celebrations.

Almost all the faded heroes and aged stars are present at the felicitation ceremony of Akkineni Nageswara Rao. However, the absence of Nandamuri clan that includes Balayya, HariKrishna, Jr.NTR, Kalyan Ram and Taraka Ratna raised many doubts. Insiders revealed that T. Subbirami Reddy, the brain behind the felicitation program is responsible for their absence. TSR invited CM Kiran and Megastar Chiru is anyways his guest always, while Nagarjuna will surely attend. If you notice, these four belong to the same community, the Congress party.

Terrified Raviteja runs to safe zone

Written By CineGlamour on Friday, April 06, 2012 | 8:40 pm

Mass Maharaja Raviteja is not having a good time at the box office in the recent past. He tasted a disastrous flop streak after Mirapakaya. Recently released Nippu did more damage to his credentials. Dongala Mutha kicked off his bad period and it was followed up by Veera. With Nippu Raviteja raised many doubts among the business circles.

Raviteja wanted to clear away all the doubts on him and his films with Daruvu. He tried to release Daruvu as early as possible after Nippu was released. But that didn't happen and Daruvu producer announced that it will release on May 4th. As of now there is no further update on the film. Buzz says that Daruvu was indefinitely postponed for now.

With Dammu, Gabbar Singh, Eega and few other notable films lined up for release, Raviteja is aiming for a much safer zone to release his film. Earlier Raviteja used to pull off films with average talk. But after Nippu, an average talk won't do. Hence fearing heavy competition from all the above movies, Daruvu is pushed to June/July release. Raviteja used to lock horns with any biggie in the past. See how fast the times changes in filmisthan!
