Daruvu Muted for Gabbar Singh Kevvu Keka

Written By CineGlamour on Monday, April 23, 2012 | 8:07 pm

Massraja Raviteja took a backseat and postponed the release of his masala flick 'Daruvu' to pave the way for the massive release of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan's mass entertainer 'Gabbar Singh' (release date 10th or 11th).

Although the film was being planned to hit screens on May 4th, due to the understanding between the producers of summer releases the release has been postponed to May 18th. Now, the producers have decided to maintain a healthy gap between the release each others films to avoid the possibility of one film eating up the revenues of the other.

The delay in the release of 'Daruvu' will also benefit Young Tiger NTR's Dammu (release date 27th) as it will have no competition at the Box Office for atleast two weeks, that's till the release of Gabbar Singh. And if Gabbar Singh hits the bulls eye, Daruvu will be postponed further. Will Pawan's magic works this time? Mega Fans, keep your fingers crossed!

Terrific deal between Pawan and Rajamouli

Telugu filmmakers have realized that gone are the days when two or more films clash at the box office and all could come out as winners. The business module has changed now. It is all about making the most in initial weeks. Therefore they can't afford to share the business with other films. Hence they are maintaining a healthy gap of two to three weeks even in the peak summer.

May big releases Gabbar Singh and Eega are all set to release on 9th and 30th respectively. With Eega slated for 30th release, Gabbar Singh work has speeded up to make to it to the theaters by 9th or 11th of May. Hence, the shooting is going on at a brisk pace. By maintaining three weeks gap both the films are going to benefit big time. We have seen Businessman and Racha doing terrific business in the span of two to three weeks.

So this deal will be helpful for both these films which have the potential to become huge blockbusters. On the other hand, NTR's Dammu, which is releasing on April 27th, will get at least two weeks time to storm the box office before Gabbar Singh arrives. Superb trend this is, isn't it?

PowerStar Not Interested In Munni's Moves

After shaking Bollywood with her heat rising moves in hot song 'Munni Badnam hui...', slender aunty Malaika Arora Khan is ready to bang Tollywood. However, our hero is not interested in her moves, say sources.

Grapevine is that Powerstar Pawan Kalyan is not present during the filming of Malaika's hot moves in Annapurna Studios. They say that Pawan just want to finish his part of shoot in the song and sit away. Generally, heroes like to watch the shaking of booty from a close but Pawan is quite different. However, a source from producer says that Pawan is busy with the shoot of another song in Aluminium factory and that is why he is not coming.

Pawan is said to be rocking for the title song of the movie which is currently shooting at the said location in the presence of director Harish Shankar and producer Ganesh babu. If everyone is present here, who is that luckiest person from 'Gabbar Singh' team getting that real hot chance to watch sexy Malaika in action for 'Kevvu Keka'!

Pawan Kalyan gets Rs. 10 crore for Gabbar Singh

Written By CineGlamour on Sunday, April 22, 2012 | 12:57 pm

Power star Pawan Kalyan joins the Rs. 10 crore club with Gabbar Singh. Pawan is always among the top paid actors list of Tollywood. However, he has never got as big as this much for any of his previous films. Pawan Kalyan hasn't taken remuneration for this film. He took fifty percent partnership instead.

Gabbar Singh was initially started on Pawan Kalyan's own banner. But later Ganesh Bandla took over as Pawan asked him to! However, Pawan kept the fifty percent stake in the film and as per industry sources the film fetched more than 32 crore rupees from theatrical distribution rights. Other rights took the overall tally to Rs. 38 crore plus.

Gabbar Singh is made on a budget of Rs. 15 to 18 crores as Pawan Kalyan didn't take remuneration for the film. Which means the net profit itself stands over 20 crore rupees. As per the fifty percent agreement Pawan gets a minimum of Rs. 10 crore on Gabbar Singh. If the film turns a blockbuster and does excellent theatrical business, he will get a good share of the profits too.

Shruti Hassan hits back at critics

Written By CineGlamour on Thursday, April 19, 2012 | 10:14 am

Although critics have always glorified their favourite 'legendary' actor Kamal Hassan and since the very beginning of his career, but they never treated his multi-talented daughter the same way. Since her debut, the Critics has written her off and raised doubts about her skills set as far as acting in concerned. This repeated after the release of every film of her's, but things have changed with her performance in the film '3'. Even the critics had given thumbs up for the brilliant portrayal of emotions in the role of Janani.

Seems like, Shruti Hassan now feels that this is the right time to settle scores with her detractors. She shot back at the critics by saying that she never reads a review before watching a film, in a way questioning the judgemental skills of them.

"I don't read reviews at all. I see the film and judge for myself. In fact, I liked a lot of films that critics had written off (giggles). I think, there are audiences for every kind of cinema today. I know for sure I don't watch a movie based on a review," she said. What's there in the armor of critics to counter Shruti's criticism is to be seen now!

Increasing doubts over Gabbar Singh's fate

Written By CineGlamour on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 | 2:29 pm

Pawan Kalyan fans are happy that Gabbar Singh audio has been received well by the general public. Despite the deja vu feel, the audio has the beats to entertain the listeners. Pilla and Kevvu Keka song are making enough noise everywhere. However, Power fans aren't happy with Gabbar Singh as the theatrical trailer was very weak.

The taking looked pretty ordinary and the dialogues in the trailer are not up to the mark. Except for popular dialog from Gabbar Singh's Thikka teaser, nothing is worth mentioning. Besides, Pawan Kalyan's dialog delivery when uttering "Naa Thikkento Choopistha, Mee Lekkalanni telustha" was very weak. Even hardcore fans of Pawan are not impressed with this one.

On the other hand Dammu and Eega theatrical trailers were awesome and raising expectations on those respective films. But Gabbar Singh's first 90 Seconds trailer turned out to be a disaster. Maybe cutting the trailer in hurry could've been the reason for this problem. It is high time that Harish Shankar comes up with a better trailer to increase the hype. Audiences nowadays are too clever and directors should think a notch higher than them to draw huge openings.

'Gabbar Singh' completes dubbing formalities

Power Star Pawan Kalyan's most awaited movie of the season 'Gabbar Singh' has completed its entire talkie part including Dubbing activities. Pawan Kalyan completed for dubbing for his part yesterday and all other actors have finished dubbing for their scenes.

On other hand post production work of the movie is going on at brisk pace as Gabbar Singh is scheduled to release on May 25. Harish Shankar is directing this film while Ganesh Babu is producing the film on Parameshwar Arts banner.

This film is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster Dabangg. Shruti Haasan is playing the female lead in this film. Devi Sri Prasad's music for Gabber Singh creating new records among the recent albums.

Rajamouli Silent on Powerstar 'Gabbar Singh'

Ace director Rajamouli, is the perfect and honest admirer of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan among the elite circle of Telugu directors. Now, he is neither present at 'Gabbar Singh' audio nor talking about it. Absent & Silent!

Rajamouli is an avid cine buff and makes his presence felt at almost all the top grade film functions of Tollywood. However, his absence at 'Gabbar Singh' audio has certainly disappointed some of his fans. But, insiders have put down the fire saying that he is busy with 'Eega' CG work. 'As it is getting common for every film function to invite Rajamouli, the makers have not insisted him to come, and he is also busy with Eega', a source said.

Even then, Jakkanna rambles on his twitter about the audio and its quality, but that didn't happened. May be Rajamouli is not getting time to listen to 'Gabbar Singh' audio, else he would have rocked his social networking site by now by praising Pawan in all possible ways.

Rajamouli Vs. Sreenu Vytla Vs. Trivikram

The comparision is not between the talents of these talented directors of Telugu Film Industry. It is regarding grabbing dates of hero and a film with him.

Apparently these three directors are tightening screws to lock Powerstar Pawan Kalyan's dates for a movie with him. Rajamouli expressed many a times his interest to direct Pawan Kalyan. 'Who'll say no if they get a chance to direct Pawan', questioned Rajamouli many times. Trivikram has already done 'Jalsa' with this crazy mega hero and scored a blockbuster. On the other hand, Sreenu Vaitla publicly expressed his desire at 'Gabbar Singh' audio launch to give him a chance for directing Powerstar.

After Gabbar Singh, Pawan will be doing Puri Jagan's 'Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu'. However, Rajamouli gets busy with Prabhas' movie and will not be available for almost 2 years. As Pawan Kalyan stopped experimenting with Tamil directors and started working with top brass Telugu directors in back to back films, Srinu Vaitla has fair chances to direct Powerstar soon. As of now, Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh is ready and running on high expectations.

Bollywood Hero's Tense Moments With PK

Written By CineGlamour on Saturday, April 14, 2012 | 3:58 pm

This Bollywood hero is famous for remaking most of the superhit movies of South. However, he made one original film in the recent past that shattered all records. We are talking about Salman Khan and his 'Dabangg'

Directed by an associate of Mani Ratnam, this film looks more mass with a touch of south, and became one of the best hit in Salman's career. The hero too felt like doing a best job for this movie and is now watching out if someone else would dominate him. Apparently, 'Dabangg' was remade in Tamil as 'Osthi' with Simbu as hero.

This film made no mark at the Box Office and the less we talk about Simbu's performance is better. However, Powerstar Pawan Kalyan donning the lead role in its Telugu remake 'Gabbar Singh' created a sensation in Hindi circuits. Except for that six pack body, Pawan looks better than Salman in all aspects, say critics. All these talks are worrying Salman a little bit as his silly little work in 'Dabbang' will be beaten by Pawan effortlessly. Let us wait for the release of 'Gabbar Singh'

Dammu Vs Gabbar Singh

Written By CineGlamour on Friday, April 13, 2012 | 9:39 pm

After Ram Charan's 'Racha', these two are the big movies in list that can shake the summer Box Office of Tollywood. With days inching for their release, here is a spotlight on the two sides of 'Dammu' and 'Gabbar Singh'.

Dammu: After scoring two flops last year, Jr.NTR is coming out with an out and out mass masala movie this time. Already, songs and trailers have brought the required craze for this movie though they don't look crazy. However, Trade pundits say that a mass hero doing regular masala stuff under the direction of another mass-director will have all the chances of becoming hit or flop. With NTR all over the trailers, one cannot expect how Trisha and Karthika sizzled on the screen.

Plus Points: Jr.NTR, Boyapati Sreenu, Dialogues and Dances

Gabbar Singh: Pawan Kalyan's fans are waiting from a long time for a hit that can last decades. Songs and teasers of the movie are rocking with high octane energy of Pawan. The generally silent and soft Pawan, if delivers a punch dialogue and performs mass-steps for crazy beats, one can expect the fate of that movie easily. Other than heroine Shruti Hassan, all other technicians are highly proved ones in terms of giving commercial hits.

Plus Points: Pawan Kalyan, Devi Sri Prasad's music and punch dialogues.

One has to wait for these two movies to hit screens for knowing the actual fate of 'Dammu' and 'Gabbar Singh' anyway.

Racha doubles Expectations on Gabbar Singh

Ram Charan's Racha has been doing exceptional business all over. There is no noticeable drop in collections even after seven days. The film is running to packed houses despite being released in many theaters. Mega fans are extremely happy with Racha's success and they are now eagerly waiting to watch Gabbar Singh's Racha at BO.

When Ram Charan's average movie can do these many wonders with a wide release, what can Pawan's film do with a good talk? This is the hottest discussion topic among the Tollywood lovers. None of Pawan's movies received good positive talk on the first day in the last decade. Even then Pawan's craze has been multiplied irrespective of his films performance.

Even other heroes fans agree that Pawan has immense craze and all he needs is a decent talk to pull off a blockbuster. Gabbar Singh looks more than promising in that aspect. Hence, fans are confidently saying that Racha is just a trailer and Gabbar Singh will show the real movie to one and all.
