I'm just Ram Charan, not Ram Charan Teja

Written By CineGlamour on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 | 6:26 am

While the media and the public has began referring to him by the name Ram Charan Tej since a very long time, the actor himself seems to be unhappy with it. He prefers to be called Ram Charan over Ram Charan Tej.

Finally, Charan has decided to clarify this to one and all. He used the social media to send this message the film lovers and the media. "My dad named me Ram Charan not Ram Charan Tej. So I feel good when people call me just "Ram Charan". I also request the media to note this," he wrote on his twitter page.

Now the question is why didn't the actor object when the director's used Ram Charan Teja in the title cards of his film. Times change, people change, tastes change! So everybody, from now onwards Mega Powerstar is just Ram Charan, not Ram Charan Tej!

Ram Charan's Bollywood debut in legal tangle

Written By CineGlamour on Thursday, April 19, 2012 | 10:15 am

Mega powerstar Ram Charan Tej has now taken off with the shooting of his debut venture in Bollywood. This is the remake of 'Zanjeer' and now it is heard that the film is facing the threat of legal action. The reason for that are the original writers of the film Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar.

Sources say the duo has consulted and hired a team of lawyers to proceed with legal action on the film. They are demanding that they are entitled for royalty since it was their story and claim that they gave the rights only to make it once which happened in the year 1974.

They are miffed that the producer of Charan's film Amit Mehra has not given a proper answer to their financial demand and declared that he got the clearance. For now, the shooting is happening without any hiccups but once the legal notices are slapped then it could land the project in trouble.

Charan gives Hope to Flop Babes

Written By CineGlamour on Sunday, April 15, 2012 | 12:47 pm

Ram Charan has not only become a new rambling in the Bollywood circles, but he's pulling some flop babes into front line again. With Cherry becoming the talk of B-town, babes are using him to the best.

Much awaited Bollywood debut of Ram Charan, Zanjeer is finally on floors now, creating ruffles. However, as the whole national media is busy talking about Charan, his old heroines are trying to attach their tag to it. Girls like Shazahn Padamsee (Orange) and Neha Sharma (Chirutha) are heard uttering his name a lot as media will talk to them to know more about Charan. Even after doing bikini stunts in 'Housefull 2', Shazahn failed to woo Hindi circuit, while Neha Sharma is still struggling with only one flick slated for a release.

Charan's present lead girl Priyanka has recently bagged a blockbuster Agneepath and she has high expectations on 'Zanjeer' as well. In this way, Charan is giving hopes to all those flop brigade of Bollywood with his aura.

Racha's dream run continues

Written By CineGlamour on Saturday, April 14, 2012 | 12:03 pm

Ram Charan's Racha has created a new record in openings. It collected more than 30 crore rupees share in first week and thus beating Businessman's record. Not many believed Racha to do such business after watching the first morning show. Critics ruled out the film's success due to average content.

However, Charan proved everyone wrong by creating a new record in openings. What's astonishing is the film is still getting superb patronage all over. Racha entered second week already and on the ninth day too it has collected very good collections in majority centers. Crowds for matinee and first shows are excellent. Even though there is a slight drop in the morning shows, Racha's run has been phenomenal given its wide release.

Due to public demand, Racha is going to be screened extra 3 shows on this Sunday at RTC X Roads. That shows the film's great run at the box office. At this rate, Racha is surely going to enter forty crore club. Adding to that Racha is also released in Tamil and Malayalam in a big way. Ram Charan turns out to be the new Baadshah of box office with Racha.

Censor Closed Eyes On 'Racha'

Written By CineGlamour on Friday, April 13, 2012 | 9:28 pm

For folks who are new, Dhanalaxmi is a half Telugu, half Tamil Censor officer for AP Censor board. She is known for her 'sharp cutting' works which give tensions to producers and directors. But, her attitude towards 'Racha' became a hot discussion now.

Dhanalaxmi is known for her iron cutting in terms of heroine's waist, navel and cleavage shots. Films like 'Buisnessman' and 'Panjaa' haven't escaped from her scissors and had blurred images all over the skin shows of female artists. Coming to 'Racha', the film was given a U/A certificate saying that all bloodshed was completely eliminated. Then, what about Tamanna's seductive skin shows? Milky beauty made most of her assets pierce the hearts of youth through her glamour on screen.

In 'Vaana Vaana' song alone Tammu babe oscillates her waist and hip, around three times in front of camera giving an ample view of her shapely back. 'How come Dhanalaxmi spared such a hot show of Tamanna in 'Racha' by closing her eyes', a big-shot producer questioned. They say, this officer doesn't like cleavage and navel show, but bare-backs are fine with her.

Ram Charan no more a one-film wonder

Written By CineGlamour on Thursday, April 12, 2012 | 1:18 pm

The success of Racha has not only given a grand start to the Tollywood in the summer season but for Ram Charan as well.

Although Ram Charan proved his mettle as an actor with magnum opus Magadheera, most of the credit for the film's success has gone to SS Rajamouli. Finally, Racha has showcased the actual calibre of Ram Charan and its success is also a proof of his strong following among the masses. Though Sampath Nandi is not a big name in the Industry, Charan pulled it off with his star power. It's once again proven that directors can make commercially viable films, but the reach and the collections depend mostly on the heroes.

With this success, Charan got rid of the 'one-film wonder' tag and also sent indications that he is a hot contender for the No.1 slot. Who doesn't want to be on the top? Mahesh and NTR - Are you watching?

Hot Actress becomes Ram Charan's villain

Written By CineGlamour on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 | 7:22 am

Ram Gopal Varma has a specialized hand when it comes to choosing his villains. Right from Raghuvaran as 'Bhavani' in 'Shiva' to Abhimanyu Singh as 'Bukka Reddy' in 'Rakta Charitra', he is class apart. The same goes to his taste towards the ladies of his movie.

One such girl who shot to limelight due to Ramu is Mahie Gill. She was seen in the Hindi movie 'Not A Love Story' and gave a riveting performance. Now, it is heard that Mahie will be seen as the bad girl in mega powerstar Ram Charan Tej's film. We are talking about his Bollywood debut the remake of 'Zanjeer'.

Buzz is that Mahie has bagged the highly coveted role of 'Mona Darling' and she would be seen alongside the powerhouse actor Prakash Raj. Known for that extra dose of oomph and a wild sex appeal, Mahie's presence is surely increasing the brand value of the film. Let us see who else joins the list.

Mega Heroes policy: Divide and Rule

Written By CineGlamour on Monday, April 09, 2012 | 8:08 pm

Right now there are three heroes from mega family that are regularly doing films and are attracting fans as well as business circles. When you have three heroes from same family, it would get tough if all of them target same audience. Hence, divide and rule is the best policy. Mega heroes have realized this fact and are playing to their strengths.

Ram Charan is doing films that cater to mass audience. That will make him very strong in B and C centers. Allu Arjun has realized that his strength lies in soft romantic entertainers. So he is doing movies that suit the tastes of class audience. Pawan Kalyan has following in both class and mass centers. So he should be doing universally acceptable movies.

At this point all the three are doing films as per their strengths and that should be very good news for mega fans. Why because they will be served with variety and also can witness more hits from their heroes.

Ram Charan is the new Megastar

Written By CineGlamour on Saturday, April 07, 2012 | 5:38 pm

When Ram Charan created history with Magadheera, most of the film analysts and other heroes fans gave credit to Rajamouli. They didn't even consider the fact that Rajamouli has done films with other heroes in the past and has never broken industry record even once. When Orange flopped, critics again said that Magadheera's credit solely goes to Rajamouli.

But a real mass hero's stamina can't be estimated with a film like Orange. When Racha was announced with a relatively new director, who directed a B grade film as his debut, then the same critics and analysts again said that this film will be the litmus test for Ram Charan's stamina as a star. First three movies of Charan were directed by proved directors. Racha was directed by Sampath Nandi, whose name is not known to many of the regular filmgoers even.

Now Charan has shut all the mouths of his critics with Racha by breaking the first day collection record by a huge margin. He has done this with a new director, weak audio and with a film which did not have any pre release buzz whatsoever. A star's stamina is estimated when he can get this sort of collections irrespective of the director. In that case, Ram Charan is as big as Megastar in terms of crowd pulling capabilities. Keep it up Cherry.

Talk-Of-Town: Chiru's Interval Bang

Written By CineGlamour on Friday, April 06, 2012 | 6:41 am

After taking up the job of 'Racha', this director has worked more to satisfy Chiru and co than himself. Rather focusing on script, his sole focus is projecting Megastar as God. Then, what is this 'interval bang'? Check out.

In a recent interview, director Sampath Nandi has mentioned that Chiranjeevi gave a mind-blowing idea for 'Racha' interval block. With 'Racha' out in theatres, many fans and admirers watched eagerly to find out the kick in that interval point. Much to their dismay, the 'interval' part stands as the weakest sequence of the flick. With no twist or added dynamism to the scene, that bang is regular in Telugu Cinemas since Chiru's times.

One cannot understand what might have prompted Sampath and his team to get so excited about that part. Did really Chiru gave such a punch less idea is talk of the town. They say that Sampath is insulting Chiru with these jokey stuff rather keeping his photo in 'Pooja' room.
