CM Kiran Joins Hands With PCC Chief Botsa

Written By CineGlamour on Monday, April 23, 2012 | 8:21 pm

With opposition leader Naidu raising his vociferous statements against Botsa hard, none other than his rival has come to rescue. CM Kiran Kumar took his turn today to knock the anti-Kiran and anti-Botsa statements.

Kiran states that opposition leaders are losing cool as they are not able to make people change their minds about the goodwill they are having on congress. 'With no other reason to attack the government, they are publicizing that there is an internal rift in Congress party and leadership change is inevitable', says Kiran. He asked those anti-forces working against him and Botsa to come up with proofs if they want a stringent answer from them.

Observers are saying that Delhi bosses have given the necessary oxygen for Kiran to counter attack all the opposition in state. If Kiran and Botsa really merged the differences between them, one can expect them to start attacking their anti-groups in the party, first, say analysts.

Vayalar Ravi Showers Joy On CM's Face

Written By CineGlamour on Saturday, April 21, 2012 | 4:50 pm

After collecting all the required details from state leaders, ambassador from Delhi has taken back flight. But, before leaving Hyderabad he has a reason to make our Chief Minister bask in joy.

'Congress leaders are more united now, and there is no question of leadership change as we have complete positive report on CM Kiran', said Vayilar Ravi before leaving. Kiran Kumar Reddy is looking pale from the last few weeks not only for the crisis in the state but for the prick under his seat. With Ravi confirming that there is no change in leadership, both Kiran and his rival-cum-friend Botsa are on cloud nine, say insiders.

Rather changing leadership and solving disputes between CM and PCC chief, high-command will now focus on strengthening cadres at elementary level. May be they will think of replacing CM and PCC Chief only after winning by-polls and a change is obvious if Congress bites mud anyway, says a political analyst.

'The End' card for CM Kiran

Written By CineGlamour on Thursday, April 19, 2012 | 2:02 pm

The talk in the political circles is that the outcome of the upcoming by-polls will decide the future of chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy.

After Kiran Kumar Reddy took charge as chief minister, the Congress party failed to win atleast a single seat in any of the by-elections. The upcoming by-polls will be test for Kiran and his longevity as CM will depend on the results. If Kiran fails to make Congress win atleast half of the 18 Assembly seats where the by-elections will be held, then the High Command may choose someone else to replace him.

The by-elections will be held in 18 Assembly constituencies and Nellore Lok Sabha constituency. About 16 of these 18 Assembly seats and the single Lok Sabha seat were won by Congress in the 2009 polls. The other two seats belong to PRP. One of them fell vacant after the disqualification of Shobha Nagi Reddy by Speaker for defy party whip during No Confidence Motion against government and the other fell vacant due to the resignation of Chiru as Turupati MLA after he was nominated to the upper house. Retaining these constituencies will be very crucial for the survival of the party in the state.

More cellphones than bathrooms in AP: CM Kiran

Written By CineGlamour on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 | 2:34 pm

Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday commented that there are more cellphones than bathrooms in the state.

"I don't know whether to tell you or not, there are more cellphones than public bathrooms constructed for the poor in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The cell phone revolution is due to the cheaper prices, affordable to the poor. In 1983, we used to have only one channel. I don't know how many channels are there at present and how many new ones are coming daily. It could be hundred channels. This is technology transformation," said Kiran, during his speech in a agricultural meet in New Delhi.

Earlier, Union Minister Jairam Ramesh made similar comments which triggered a huge controversy. "Women are demanding mobile phones, but not public toilets," he said. Several women organizations had protested it and demanded the minister to take back the comments.

Had YSR Not Done Sonia 'Paada Pooja'?

Written By CineGlamour on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 | 10:41 am

With no other weapons in hand to attack Congress and TDP leaders as CBI filed its charge sheet in Jagan's case, YSR Congress leaders changed their route. They are directly hitting at Kiran that he does Sonia's 'Paada Pooja' to bag CM seat. Had YSR not done that to stay in power for the second time?

Congress leaders are countering YSR Congress leader Ambati that YSR has done lot of acts to satisfy high command, especially Sonia Gandhi madam to retain that CM seat for the second time in 2009. 'YSR used to make every move only with the permission of Sonia. Every welfare scheme and govt's policy had Sonia's approval except those faulty GOs', stated a Congress leader.

Earlier Ambati quipped that Botsa and Kiran are pawns in the hands of Sonia Gandhi and cannot take a decision individually in favor of the welfare of people. On the other hand, Telugudesam leaders are saying that all the Congress leaders are jokers in the hands of their high-command and the whole country will develop if at all the ruling goes out of Sonia's hands.

CM Kiran Showers Election-Gifts In Vizag

Written By CineGlamour on Sunday, April 15, 2012 | 3:59 pm

Chief Minister Kiran Kumar has taken a different route finally to convince the voters. Like they say, he hasn't stick to what party people are thinking, but showered gifts in his own style.

As part of 'PrajaPatham' program, CM Kiran reached Nakkapalli of Vizag district today and showered gifts on poor and backward communities. A 50 bed hospital, special school for fisherman's children and 50% reservations for them in many areas are some of the offerings. Three thousand gas connections are also part of CM's 'Pandora box' for poor. Kiran regretted for the plight of state which is getting elections within a gap of three months. He quipped that the muhurat he took oath as CM seems a bad one for this turmoil both in state and in Congress.

Observers feel that CM is using government's treasure to lure voters on to Congress' side. In the mean time, CM not only sweetened the mouths of poor but took his time to attack Jagan and Chandrababu.

Kiran And Botsa's Ouster After By-Polls

Written By CineGlamour on Friday, April 13, 2012 | 3:55 pm

Chief minister Kiran Kumar and PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana are going to be ousted from their posts once the by-polls are over, says Congress leaders. The results of the polls will have a huge impact on this decision, it seems.

According to Congress senior leaders, high command is completely upset with the way Kiran and Botsa are functioning in the state. Though both these leaders are handpicked by Sonia Gandhi herself, they are not working as a team and are aiming missiles at each other. Seniors who are against the candidature of Kiran as CM are moving pawns fast in Delhi. The list includes, Deputy CM Damodara Rajanarasimha, DL Ravindra Reddy, Jana Reddy, Chittoor MLA P Ramachandra Reddy and veteran leaders like D Srinivas and KK.

Interestingly, V Hanumantha Rao, a strong critic of YSR is leading the meetings in Delhi with
Rahul Gandhi regarding by-polls and power shuffle, says a source. Anyways, if Congress scores decent seats in the coming by-polls scheduled for 18 constituencies, CM Kiran and Botsa may walk in the same posts with heads lifted.

Balakrishna seeks CM Kiran's support

Written By CineGlamour on Thursday, April 12, 2012 | 7:47 pm

Senior hero and TDP star campaigner Balakrishna on Thursday met Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy at his camp office to seek his support to expand the services of Basavarama Tarakam Memorial Cancer Hospital. The actor also informed the chief minister about his tours in other countries for fund raising to this cancer institute.

Balayya's meeting with CM gained prominance as TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu was touring Kiran Kumar Reddy's native Pileru, Today.

The Cancer Hospital with world class facilities was the dream of NTR's wife Basava Tharakam, who died of this dreadful disease. NTR formed a Trust in 1989 for establishing a Cancer Institute in memory of his wife. The main Objectives of the Institute are: Creation of Cancer Awareness, Prevention and early detection of Cancer, Provide advanced methods of treatment and Function as a non-profit organization in the service of cancer patients.

Seniors Drag Rahul To Chase CM Kiran

Written By CineGlamour on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 | 5:09 pm

To put an end to the domination of Chief Minister in the affairs of State Congress, senior leaders are keen to drag Rahul Gandhi as a face of coming by-polls. Will this iron-leg campaigner of UP polls could pull cadres to victory is the question.

Congress sources are saying that high-command wants Rahul to take the charge of AP affairs to ensure a head raising move for Congress in 2014 elections. After meeting seniors like D Srinivas from state, Sonia Gandhi asked her son to take the driver's seat. Already, Rahul is busy meeting D Srinivas and other Congress MPs to know a brief about Andhra Pradesh. PCC Chief Botsa and Deputy CM too gave a coloring to high command that State Congress under the leadership of CM Kiran failed in many aspects.

Like Telangana movement, Jagan factors, war inside Congress party and by-poll defeat were examples. However, a faction of Congress states that Rahul is not having sufficient time to understand complete situation of the state. They say he can be helpful as a crowd-puller and of the opinion that he cannot steer AP Congress to victory.

ACB Ready To Clash With CM Kiran?

ACB sleuths are getting their report ready to submit in court by April 16th. Insiders are saying that they do not fear anyone, including CM, to come out with a sincere report that includes all the names of corrupt babus.

Liquor Syndicate Scam has become a hot topic in the state which the state government is toppling to its convenience. However, things changed after Special Investigation Team's chief Srinivasa Reddy was transferred as ACB intensified attacks on syndicate owners withstanding all political pressures. Many districts, including CM's native Chittoor were excluded from investigation till sometime back and ACB started digging into them now.

Sources say that though court may take or may not agree with their reports, but ACB wants to bring all politicians names involved in the scam to lime light with evidences. With speculations on a rise that Excise Commissioner will also be transferred, ACB sleuths have speed up their investigation. One has to wait till April 16th to see the actual in ACB report!

Politics Behind N-Heroes Absence At ANR Function

When the whole bunch of star heroes or at least one member from each star-family is present, Nandamuri heroes haven't even flashed the occasion. We are talking about the absence of one star-film-family at ANR's platinum year celebrations.

Almost all the faded heroes and aged stars are present at the felicitation ceremony of Akkineni Nageswara Rao. However, the absence of Nandamuri clan that includes Balayya, HariKrishna, Jr.NTR, Kalyan Ram and Taraka Ratna raised many doubts. Insiders revealed that T. Subbirami Reddy, the brain behind the felicitation program is responsible for their absence. TSR invited CM Kiran and Megastar Chiru is anyways his guest always, while Nagarjuna will surely attend. If you notice, these four belong to the same community, the Congress party.

Seemandhra Ministers Angry With CM Kiran

Written By CineGlamour on Monday, April 09, 2012 | 7:51 pm

Even after the Congress high-command giving its 'class' to CM Kiran, the dynamic leader is going unilateral in decisions. His latest move has angered Ministers from seemandhra region to the core, say insiders.

Unconvinced with the loyalties of Andhra ministers, CM Kiran entrusted the by-poll responsibilities to ministers from Telangana region. Ministers DK Aruna (Mahabubnagar), Uttam Kumar (Nalgonda), Sridhar Babu (Karimnagar) are going to supervise by-poll works in Kadapa, Guntur and Tirupathi respectively. Though the political dynamics are different in all three regions of State, CM's move looked independent, proving that he has no belief in us, says an Andhra minister. It is heard that CM is of the belief that Seemandhra ministers are entering into secret pacts with Jagan to defeat Congress party.

If this is the case with handing responsibilities, then we have to see how Congress leaders will fight to field candidates as the selection is pending yet. It remains to be seen whether all these tactics fetch assembly seats for Congress in 18 constituencies due for by-polls.

ACB Cop Srinvasa Reddy Walks Out

Written By CineGlamour on Saturday, April 07, 2012 | 5:27 pm

Despite of the hue and cry of opposition parties, Government got its order obeyed by the tough cop of ACB. Srinivasa Reddy finally walked out to this new post as an IG of Coast Guard.

Srinivasa Reddy, the head of Special Investigation Team probing into Liquor Syndicate Scam was issued transferred orders a couple of days back. However, he hasn't taken the orders until he is given a charge-memo today. ACB director Bhupati Babu is also against this transfer like all other politicians of the state.

Even the Chief Secretary of state too declined the retention of this honest officer who is about to expose the presence of a top Congress politician in Liquor scam. With nothing to do, Srinivasa Reddy finally walked out and surprisingly stated that there is no political pressure behind his move. This is the end of an honest officer who wanted to expose the real culprits. When will our politicians change?

Why Is Sonia Avoiding AP's Trimurthulu?

The Congress chief has met ex PCC Chief, a rival MLA and other group of agitators, but avoided confrontation with 'Trimurthulu', CM Kiran, Deputy CM Damodara Rajanarasimha and Botsa. What's the reason madam?

Ex PCC Chief and arch rival of Botsa, D Srinivas can go and meet Sonia. Anti CM campaigner Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy can go and shake a hand with her. Agitating jewelers from the state in connection with bloated gold prices can get the appointment of Madam. But, our state's Chief Minister and Pradesh Congress Committee president cannot get a glimpse of her face. Insiders are saying that Sonia is angry with both of them as they are helping opposition indirectly.

With the streak of taking revenge on Botsa, CM is said to be using his Liquor deals and that too exposing them through 'Eenadu' paper. We all know whom that paper supports. Coming to Deputy CM Rajanarasimha's case, CM is not allowing him to take any work according to his choice. Say it establishing information centres or decisions about scams, CM is iron handedly suppressing his deputy, say sources. But all these internal conflicts are helping opposition to progress faster in state politics. Sonia is said to be angered with these moves of Kiran and hence avoiding all of them to teach a lesson with her silence.

CM Gave Food For Opposition Intentionally!

Written By CineGlamour on Friday, April 06, 2012 | 8:47 pm

This is the talk about CM Kiran's move regarding giving a big fodder of opposition to nail a section of ruling Congress party. Though things look settled infront of their top bosses, the hatchet still continues to grow it seems.

In a bid to satisfy Botsa, CM Kiran has undertaken measures to transfer ACB Special Investigation Team chief over night. With the transfer of Srinivasa Reddy, many questions are raised by opposition about the transparency of government in handling Liquor Syndicate Scam. Every big and small leader are raising voices against congress that how can they transfer a top cop when the investigation is in final stages. On the flip side, Botsa's 'over action' by saying that he doesn't know who Srinivasa Reddy is at all, rubbed the wrong side of opposition.

All these direct tongue-in-cheek moments of Congress may provoke someone like Shankar Rao to lodge a case against CM Kiran and Botsa too say analysts. If total issue falls in the eyes of High Court, CBI many jump into the scene to expose real truth. Well, the main allegation from Congress leaders here is that CM is giving food for opposition intentionally to nail Botsa and co. We have to think about this!

Botsa Backs YSR and Knocks Jagan

Once again PCC chief started giving a coloring that there are no clashes inside Congress party and all those are creations of media. Unlike earlier, he however changed his strategy about Jagan.

'We have met Azad only to discuss about future strategies of the party as by-polls are approaching', stated Botsa, denying that they are in Delhi to settle disputes among them. He felt that Jagan should prove his innocence even for the allegations that popped against his father YSR. 'As a head of YSR party he should stand for the allegations against YSR', said Botsa. However, he stated that nothing sort of corruption happened in YSR's government though YS Jagan is a corrupt man.

Looks like Botsa is changing words to use the image of YSR as a positive weapon for their party. Earlier he used to say that CBI and court will decide if YSR is a corrupt man or not. While the PCC chief is taking pretty time to knock Jagan, he claimed innocence when asked about the transfer of ACB SIT officer Srinivasa Reddy, who is investigation Liquor Scam. For you information, this is what they call politics!
