CM Kiran Joins Hands With PCC Chief Botsa

Written By CineGlamour on Monday, April 23, 2012 | 8:21 pm

With opposition leader Naidu raising his vociferous statements against Botsa hard, none other than his rival has come to rescue. CM Kiran Kumar took his turn today to knock the anti-Kiran and anti-Botsa statements.

Kiran states that opposition leaders are losing cool as they are not able to make people change their minds about the goodwill they are having on congress. 'With no other reason to attack the government, they are publicizing that there is an internal rift in Congress party and leadership change is inevitable', says Kiran. He asked those anti-forces working against him and Botsa to come up with proofs if they want a stringent answer from them.

Observers are saying that Delhi bosses have given the necessary oxygen for Kiran to counter attack all the opposition in state. If Kiran and Botsa really merged the differences between them, one can expect them to start attacking their anti-groups in the party, first, say analysts.

Chandrababu Is Blackmailing Government Officials

Vizianagaram has become a battle field from today morning and the war between Telugudesam and Congress is turning more personal with leaders criticizing in the most possible hurting way.

'CM has stated earlier in assembly that he will take action against all the persons involved in Liquor scam and changed his mind after a settlement took place in Delhi', Chandrababu accused. He says that Congress leaders are sharing the state in phase wise to loot people off wealth. PCC Chief Botsa has come down heavily on these comments of Naidu. 'He is dreaming again for CM seat. People will not believe in his gimmicks as he is the god father of corruption.

This opposition leader is a curse to people and state', Botsa fumed. He says that Naidu is blackmailing government officials with his ex-CM arrogance and not co-operating with Police to prevail chaos situation in the district. Another Congress leader accused, 'It is Chandrababu who has lifted prohibition in state. It's really funny to see him talking about liquor deeds now'. That's all for now, about Vizianagaram politics!

'Restricting TDP Is A Big Blow For Congress'

Congress sleuths are busy restricting TDP convoy from entering into Vizianagaram district to stage a Dharna against the government regarding to Liquor Scam. Seniors from ruling party are opining that this will give TDP a much needed boost for the coming by-polls.

Vizianagaram police have succeeded in implementing 144 section in the district, to restrict TDP, which Telugudesam folks are saying that a plan of congress to halt them. Finally, both the Congress and TDP sleuths are allowed to stage protests at district collectorate but under police supervision. 'Choking opposition's throat for raising their voice against few liquor baron politicians will ruin the chances of Congress in coming polls, TDP leader Ashok Gajapathi Raju stated.

Congress seniors are also voicing the same opinion that shielding Botsa and co., will not help them politically in turning vote banks towards them. Both the parties are anyways fighting each other with word-weapons, now at Vizianagaram, digging at the histories of oppositions!

Botsa comes up with cunning strategy

Written By CineGlamour on Thursday, April 19, 2012 | 4:38 pm

PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana has comes up with a new strategy to prove that his name was unnecessarily dragged into the liquor mafia. He is likely to meet chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy soon to appeal for the cancellation of all the liquor licences owned by white ration card holders in the state.

During the investigation, the ACB Officials found that the majority of the liquor licences in the state are in the name of white card holders, who comes under the below-poverty line. Politicians have used the poor people as their benamis to get the grip on the liquor trade. It may be recalled that Botsa has written a letter to CM Kiran Kumar Reddy demanding the cancellation of the ration cards of the people who are having liquor licences, after his name surfaced during the ACB raids on liquor syndicates all over the state. However, this move by the PCC Chief backfired as TDP alleged that Congress leaders were trying to make the below-poverty line people scapegoats by cancelling their ration cards.

Botsa is well aware of the fact that government is not in a position to cancel the liquor licenses as it will affect the revenue. So, he played this card to mount pressure on CM Kiran and also to counter the allegations from his rivals. In fact, within two months all the liquor trade licences are going to expire. So, even if the government dares to cancel the licenses the loss for Botsa will be minimal.

Liquor Syndicate: Benamis hide at pilgrim spots

The political party leaders and liquor syndicate organizers are finding new ways to protect themselves from further troubles. It is already known that majority of the belt shops in the state were in the name of white ration card holders, who come under the below-poverty line category.

The proxies (the people who are substituted to act for others) were immediately sent to pilgrimages to avoid the interrogation of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with the liquor scam in the state. The ACB Officials have been witnessing locked houses wherever they go and this is happening for sometime now. Finally, the ACB has come up in open declaring that their target is not the poor 'license holders', but the big fishes behind them.

The liquor syndicate took the advantage of poor and innocent people to acquire majority of the share in the liquor trade. Atleast 50 percent license holders in the state are white ration card holders.

ACB Decides To Nail Botsa & Mopidevi

Written By CineGlamour on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 | 10:33 am

ACB DG made it clear that they will pull the persons behind the 'benamis' of Liquor Syndicate Scam sending shivers down PCC Chief and Excise Minister. With the support of high court, ACB may nail down all ministers and MLAs involved in it.

ACB today revealed its report to the media about the number of illegally acquired liquor shop licenses in six districts including Botsa's Vijainagaram and Srikakulam. Their investigation has revealed that half of the license holders are white ration card holders. 'Our sole aim is to catch the big-wigs behind these small fish. We are requesting these benamis to cope with us in investigation', said ACB DG Bhupati Babu. Insiders from ACB are saying that they already got key evidences against Botsa and Mopidevi and will soon submit them in court before taking necessary action.

Irrespective of the pressures created by some politicians, ACB took this as a prestigious issue after they were irritated by the transfer of ACS SIT chief Srinivasa Reddy it seems. If MLAs and Ministers are dragged into issue, State Congress has to tumble in the upcoming by-elections, say observers.

Written By CineGlamour on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 | 7:28 pm

Finally, Congress ambassador from Delhi to assess the situation of party in state, Vayalar Ravi has spoken to media. He simply scrapped that complaints always come against rulers and there is no need to take them serious, in connection with Kiran-Botsa issue.

Vayalar Ravi stated that they have reports that Chief Minister Kiran and PCC Chief Botsa Satynarayana are doing well. He confirms that he is not here to think about change in leadership and there is no conflict at all between them. 'I'm here to interact with CM, PCC chief and other congress leaders regarding political situation in state.

Practice in Congress party usually is to review performance in every state and that is what I'm doing since I arrived last night', said Vayalar Ravi. He clarified that Ghulam Azad is busy with international meets and ministerial works and hence the high command has sent him here. A speck of smile can be seen on Botsa's face, who is sitting aside this Delhi leader.

Liquor King's Son arrested in land encroachment case

Liquor baron and former TTD Chairman Adikesavulu Naidu's Son Srinivas Naidu was arrested on Monday under the charges of trespassing into a private property and demolishing a room constructed in the premises. The Medchal police have booked criminal cases against him.

Along with his associates and few workers, Srinivas Naidu entered into the three acre land in survey number 806 in Medchal and encroached the land. He also threatened the Prasad Seeds management of dire consequences if they hadn't stayed away from the land.

Prasad Seeds management, which claims to be actual owner of the property, lodged complaint against Srinivas Naidu. Cases were booked against him under sections 506  (Criminal intimidation), 447 (Criminal trespassing) and 427 (Mischief and thereby causing damage to property) of Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Liquor Scam: HC Shocks Cong Leaders

Praising the mid-term report submitted by Anti Corruption Bureau in connection with Liquor Syndicate Scam, High Court fumed at State government for taking decisions in a hurry. While Congress leaders are spelling that ACB is crossing limits, courts praises have given relief for the officials.

ACB has submitted its report in a sealed cover, which is praised by the High Court for their honest work. Court ordered the Kiran government to reconsider their decision of transferring ACB top cop and Special Investigation Team head Srinivasa Reddy. It felt that Government has taken decision in a hurry without consulting them. These words of court are shivering the likes of Congress leaders like Mopidevi Venkataramana and Botsa Satyanarayana, say sources.

Names of this excise minister and PCC chief have popped in the scam right from the beginning but were suppressed in the middle by pressurizing ACB, say observers. With the intervention of HC, ACB sleuths may change their course of action and intensify the attacks on Cong leaders in a shocking way!

Kiran Not Stopping Attacks On Botsa

Written By CineGlamour on Monday, April 16, 2012 | 4:41 pm

Even after high-command doing a solid brain wash to Chief Minister Kiran Kumar, the splits developed are not gluing together. Attacks are becoming quite public these days, with Kiran getting more opportunities than others.

Government's 'Praja Padham' program intended for helping the poor and needy has become Kiran's platform to kick his rivals. Though he showered lot of offerings for backward communities, he concentrated a lot on attacking rivals carefully. 'While outsiders are trying to bifurcate state, insiders are trying harder to bifurcate Congress party', fumed Kiran indirectly venting his anger on Botsa and Deputy CM. These talks of Kiran show that the splits in the party in the name of Botsa, Deputy CM, Jana Reddy and K Keshava Rao are still alive.

Sources say that seniors are trying to trigger Delhi leaders for CM's indirect attack on Botsa gang. Whatever it is, 'Praja patham' became an election meeting rather finding the problems of people and solving them!

81 Benami liquor licence holders in WG District

Written By CineGlamour on Sunday, April 15, 2012 | 1:14 pm

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has discovered a huge number of benami liquor license holders in West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam districts. The ACB probe revealed that there are 81 benami liquor license holders in West Godavari district. Some of the white card holders were also doing business in East Godavari district.

ACB officials gathered the information from the civil supplies department and enquiring the details of white card holders with deputy commissioner of excise department.
Vijayawada ACB DSP Narasimha Rao conducted raids in West Godavari district and found that persons below poverty line were running liquor shops.

For instance, A Ramakrishna is running a wine shop in Pallamkurru village of Katrenikona mandal in East Godavari district though he is a white card holder of Nadipudi village in West Godavari district. At least, 26 of the 81 white card holders from West Godavari district own wine shops in East Godavari district. The remaining were reportedly running liquor business in West Godavari district itself.
The government has conducted auctions to 473 liquor shops in West Godavari district in 2010 and earned Rs 509 crore through liquor trade licences.

Attracted by the huge earnings in liquor business some new persons entered the business and enhanced the auction price to crores of rupees. Later, the bidders colluded with the officials of the excise department and have been selling liquor at more than the MRP. ACB also registered cases against benami license holders.
Currently, the ACB sleuths were enquiring as to how these white card holders obtained liquor shop licences by investing crore of rupees and from where did they get such huge amounts. With some liquor traders at large in the district, the ACB has launched a hunt for them.

The probe agency said it has no intention of troubling the poor, innocent white ration card holders, who were lured into becoming benamis. It appealed to the benamis possessing white ration card holders to speak the truth and depose evidence before the ACB so that real culprits could be brought to book.

ACB Ready To Clash With CM Kiran?

Written By CineGlamour on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 | 5:05 pm

ACB sleuths are getting their report ready to submit in court by April 16th. Insiders are saying that they do not fear anyone, including CM, to come out with a sincere report that includes all the names of corrupt babus.

Liquor Syndicate Scam has become a hot topic in the state which the state government is toppling to its convenience. However, things changed after Special Investigation Team's chief Srinivasa Reddy was transferred as ACB intensified attacks on syndicate owners withstanding all political pressures. Many districts, including CM's native Chittoor were excluded from investigation till sometime back and ACB started digging into them now.

Sources say that though court may take or may not agree with their reports, but ACB wants to bring all politicians names involved in the scam to lime light with evidences. With speculations on a rise that Excise Commissioner will also be transferred, ACB sleuths have speed up their investigation. One has to wait till April 16th to see the actual in ACB report!

Govt. Plans To Kick Excise Commissioner Also?

Written By CineGlamour on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 | 7:29 pm

In order to plead a section of leaders in the ruling party, State Government is taking many hard decisions. Recently, they have fired ACB Special Investigation Team chief Srinivasa Reddy and here comes their next plan.

Under pressure from PCC Chief Botsa, CM Kiran has earlier issued orders to transfer SIT chief. Sources say that the deal hasn't over and the transfer of Excise Commissioner Sameer Sharma is also on the cards. Though Excise minister Mopidevi is not interested to transfer Sameer Sharma before making a new excise policy, CM is said to be pressurizing for his transfer under influence from other top-leaders of Congress.

Shockingly, Government is maintaining double standard in dealing with Liquor Scam and Prohibition. CM Kiran has allotted 50 crore to promote prohibition on one hand and on the flip side increased the sales target of liquor from 12K crore rupees to 16K crores for 2012-13. To stop a probe into the irregular deals of Liquor syndicate, PCC Chief has already convinced high command that the raids of ACB are selective. The Delhi bosses in turn advised Kiran to stop serious investigation into Excise deals, which may result in the transfer of Excise commissioner soon!
