Balakrishna seeks CM Kiran's support

Senior hero and TDP star campaigner Balakrishna on Thursday met Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy at his camp office to seek his support to expand the services of Basavarama Tarakam Memorial Cancer Hospital. The actor also informed the chief minister about his tours in other countries for fund raising to this cancer institute.

Balayya's meeting with CM gained prominance as TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu was touring Kiran Kumar Reddy's native Pileru, Today.

The Cancer Hospital with world class facilities was the dream of NTR's wife Basava Tharakam, who died of this dreadful disease. NTR formed a Trust in 1989 for establishing a Cancer Institute in memory of his wife. The main Objectives of the Institute are: Creation of Cancer Awareness, Prevention and early detection of Cancer, Provide advanced methods of treatment and Function as a non-profit organization in the service of cancer patients.
