'Restricting TDP Is A Big Blow For Congress'

Written By CineGlamour on Monday, April 23, 2012 | 2:45 pm

Congress sleuths are busy restricting TDP convoy from entering into Vizianagaram district to stage a Dharna against the government regarding to Liquor Scam. Seniors from ruling party are opining that this will give TDP a much needed boost for the coming by-polls.

Vizianagaram police have succeeded in implementing 144 section in the district, to restrict TDP, which Telugudesam folks are saying that a plan of congress to halt them. Finally, both the Congress and TDP sleuths are allowed to stage protests at district collectorate but under police supervision. 'Choking opposition's throat for raising their voice against few liquor baron politicians will ruin the chances of Congress in coming polls, TDP leader Ashok Gajapathi Raju stated.

Congress seniors are also voicing the same opinion that shielding Botsa and co., will not help them politically in turning vote banks towards them. Both the parties are anyways fighting each other with word-weapons, now at Vizianagaram, digging at the histories of oppositions!

CPI: We Are Cash Strapped To Contest Elections

Written By CineGlamour on Sunday, April 22, 2012 | 5:52 pm

With by-poll talks raising the heat in political circles, political parties are coming up with different strategies to face it. However, CPI is sounding something unusual and one cannot understand what their intention behind these statements is.

'There is no scope for political campaigns when money and power are overflowing in the name of election campaigns', said CPI secretary Narayana. He meant that there is no scope for transparent campaigning when vote-banks are getting lured by money and false promises. 'Our motto is to fight against Congress and YSR Congress which pushed state into a dark hole', he adds. Insiders revealed that CPI has almost decided to join hands with Telugudesam in the coming by-polls.

On the flip side, CPM leader Raghavulu stated that there is no chance of joining hands with Naidu's party. As there are chances of hung in AP state in upcoming general elections with people dividing between TDP, TRS and Jagan, Leftists are playing various trump cards it seems.

KA Paul's Secret Understanding With TDP

Written By CineGlamour on Saturday, April 21, 2012 | 4:54 pm

KA Paul is making sure that he blinks in the media everyday for some reason or the other. But the strategies, policies and standings of this evangelist are still unclear and are raising many doubts now.

Reports say that KA Paul is not willing to contest in all the constituencies in coming by-polls as publicized. Even though he is rubbishing that his 'Praja Shanti' party is not going to tie up with any other political party of state, there are leaving some places without contesting. Observers are saying that Paul is not fielding candidates where TDP is strong, but taking things seriously at places where Jagan has a hold. This clearly implies that he has a secret pact with Telugudesam party.

The news is getting strong, with TDP chief Chandrababu promising a galore of schemes for converted Christians and minorities of this religion only at places where they are strong. However, one cannot conclude this, until politician Paul announces his list of contestants and contesting constituencies.

YSR-C Worried About Radha's Presence

Stage is set for former Congress leader, slain MLA Vangaveeti Ranga's son Radha to join hands with YS Jagan. However, YSR party cadres are said to be a little worried about this young leader's presence.

Mainly, two things are said to be worrying the intellectuals of YSR-C, as to how Radha will come handy for them in the coming polls. Firstly, when Chiru started Prajarajyam, votes of Kapus are split between Congress and him, but there is no big loss to TDP which Jagan wants now. By using Radha, YSR Congress cannot pull the votes of Kapus across Krishna and Godavari districts as he is not well known outside Vijayawada.

Secondly, Vangaveeti Radha is not staying in a party if he is not getting attention and posts. He has quit Congress to join 'Prajarajyam' and is now moving to YSR-C, expecting a heap of opportunities and powers. But it is not so easy to get powers in Jagan's coterie and senior leaders are apprehensive that Radha may soon end up in some other party.

Who Is Writing Dialogues For Chandrababu?

Written By CineGlamour on Friday, April 20, 2012 | 1:20 pm

These days, watching the election campaign speeches of TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu is like watching a mass movie of a top action hero. Punch dialogues and strong comments are part of his words, giving us a feel that some movie writers are behind him.

A look at his recent dialogues like 'State government's remote in Sonia's hand', 'It's no Gandhi Bhavan, its brandy bhavan' and 'Delhi leaders always leave Hyderabad with suitcases' are giving us this thought. Every day, Chandrababu is making clear that he will deliver a punch dialogue which the media can use for sensational stuff.

TDP sources are saying that there is no need for their leader to hire someone to write such words. 'Those dialogue are coming from the bottom of his heart after losing patience with the ruling of this corruption-hit government', says a Telugudesam leader. So, politicians can also write dialogues, not only the top directors and writers of Telugu Cinema industry.

Jagan's death blow to Congress and TDP

If the YSR Congress party manages to win majority of the seats in the upcoming by-polls, then it will a death blow to both Congress and TDP as the big bunch of their leaders might join the Jagan's camp.

According to the recent surveys, the YSR Congress party has a clear edge over the others and they will be win the majority of the seats. Indications are that these developments may lead to the mid-term polls in the state. And the mid-term polls will benefit the Jagan's party in Seemandhra and TRS in Telangana region.

On the other hand, both ruling Congress and opposition TDP are trying desperately to win atleast few seats to save their face. While the Chief Minister is using his Prajapatham program as campaign for the by-polls, the TDP chief Chandrababu has been busy touring the by-poll constituencies. The outcome of these by-elections will set the course for the next general elections in the state.

TDP Laughs At Jagan's Prediction

Written By CineGlamour on Monday, April 16, 2012 | 4:46 pm

Jagan's tour in Srikakulam has led to some shocking predictions by him making the opposition especially Telugudesam, laugh at him. They are saying that Jagan will mesmerize AP's people and sells the state to someone else.

'Within a year, mid-term polls will come for sure and you have vote for YSR-Congress such that we'll win all 294 assembly seats in state', Jagan pleaded the voters at his yatra. But, is it really possible for him to contest in all 294 seats and win is the real question. Political observers say that even a false promise and wish should have a conviction, while Jagan's words are completely foolishness. Telugudesam party people are firing that Jagan is making fun of backward sections in Srikakulam area, to which he is addressing all these demands.

'Already he joined hands with TRS and how come he can contest 294 seats', a TDP party worker quipped. On the other hand, one can read between the lines in a different way too. Jagan's stress on 294 seats indicates that he is supporting a 'Samaikya Andhra'. Only Jagan knows the truth behind his words!

No Telangana If Congress Wins By-Polls

This seems the message from Congress leaders for the people of Andhra and Rayalseema to vote for them in by-polls. Congress leaders like Lagadapati, Sailajanath and TG Venkatesh are indirectly hinting a 'no telangana'.

A couple of days back, Lagadapati confused the voters of Andhra region with his talks related to Telangana. Now, TG Venkatesh and Sailajanath started preaching that Jagan is an associate of TRS, so he will split state into two if given power. Political observers are reading a different message in these words. Jagan will split state if comes into power, but what will congress do when they get it. Will they stop the bifurcation of state by saying no to Telangana demand?

T-leaders of Congress are now worried about the stand of the ruling party and their future in the region. Some say that Congress will play this card until they win 18 seats and will delay solving all the problems once they bag power. Congress should give clarity!

'Dammu' Finalizes NTR's Berth In TDP?

Jr.NTR is staying away from Telugudesam Party's affairs from a long time. Though reasons are not known behind his staying back, insiders revealed that everything is now linked with the fate of 'Dammu'.

More than their policy making skills and political gaming abilities, actors are very best at pulling crowds for meetings. Junior too did his bit during 2009 election campaigning, but failed to woo the voters. The loss of TDP in that election might have kept him at bay. Insiders say that if he scores as a mass leader with 'Dammu' and the film becomes huge hit, there are chances for him then to take party's canvassing job back on shoulders.

Jr.NTR's political career is now directly linked to the potential of 'Dammu', if at all he wants to do something with politics. Rumors are abuzz in industry that Junior wants to keep off from politics for the next couple of years. Let us see what happens!

Mohan Babu! Which Party Is Clean?

After the exit of his rival and also friend, Megastar Chiru, from mainstream politics, Mohan Babu is showing interesting to check his luck again. However, his 'clean' statement gained prominence when he is speculated of joining Telugudesam.

Mohan Babu criticized that Chandrababu's presence at his school's anniversary doesn't mean that he is joining Telugudesam. 'I don't want to start a party, but I'll join a clean and honest one soon', he said. The actor looks busy as he is acting in a film as a lead after a long time, but still maintained his interest in politics. His sensational statement of joining an 'honest' party rose to a few questions about the 'honest party' of all in AP state. Every political party is having its own merits and demerits, scams and irregularities, false promises and show offs.

So, will he find a real 'honest' party in the state or end up quitting after couple of years feeling that there is no transparency anywhere, is something to be seen.

If YSR Is Thief, What About his Ministers?

Written By CineGlamour on Sunday, April 15, 2012 | 3:58 pm

While beneficiaries are claiming that YSR is god, non-beneficiaries are not sitting calm when it comes to attacking YSR. TDP is getting benefitted by the whole scenario and one can understand this listening to Chandrababu Naidu's words.

'For all the corruptive decisions made in YSR regime, the whole cabinet will be responsible. If YSR is a thief, so are his ministers', states Chandrababu. He came hard on Congress for attacking just YSR and saving the face of other close-aides of him who shared a decent pie in looting state. 'One cannot just say that YSR is great and Jagan looted the state. Can the father and son do that without the support of these ministers?', the TDP supremo feels. From Congress side, leaders are still struck between YSR and Jagan.

Should YSR be projected as the savior of Congress party or should he be seen as someone who looted the state along with his son, are the questions still haunting Congress and benefitting Telugudesam.

Naidu Predicts Cabinet Meeting At Jail

TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu is not ruling out any issue related to Congress party in the by-poll campaigning. More than his accusations, his satires on the efficiency of Congress party is garnering attention, say political analysts.

'If tainted ministers and others who received notices from Supreme Court continue in their posts without resigning, there will be a day Congress will be conducting cabinet meet in Chanchalaguda Jail, Naidu stated. Indirectly he demanded the arrest of all ministers associated with corruption in the state.

After attacking Congress and YS Jagan, Naidu invited that entire cadre who left the party to return back into Telugudesam. Congress sleuths are not finding time to attack Naidu anyway as they are busy discussing pros and cons of using YSR image in by-polls.

'YSR's corruption - 100 times bigger than 2G Scam'

Written By CineGlamour on Friday, April 13, 2012 | 10:27 pm

TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu on Friday alleged that the corruption of former chief minister late YS Rajasekhar Reddy is 100 times bigger than 2G Scam, which incurred Rs 1.76 lakhs crore loss to the government.

"During YSR's tenure as CM, a massive corruption took place. It's 100 times bigger than 2G Scam. The amassed huge wealth through SEZs (special economic zones), Mining Deals, Liquor Sydicate and Land Mafia," said Babu, who is touring in Uttar Andhra for the ensuing by-poll campaign.

The TDP Chief accused YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy of using the illegal money to become the chief minister of the state. He opined that Congress learders are fearing to target YSR, as they were also involved in the corruption.

Naidu Roped In Paul To Lure Minorities?

Written By CineGlamour on Thursday, April 12, 2012 | 2:18 pm

With the sudden entry of KA Paul into state's political scenario once again, equations of votes might change a bit. What Jagan has thought as a cake walk for him may become a thorny path now.

Other than YSR's supporters and sympathizers of Jagan, main target of YSR-CP are the backward classes, especially Christian minorities of the state. With Paul's entry there may be a split in the votes of these minorities, feel analysts. 'They have roped in KA Paul to split our vote bank. Paul started his moves in the state politics with the support of TDP', stresses an YSR CP leader.

The presence of TDP veteran, Lal Jan Basha at a press meet organized by KA Paul's 'Prajashanti Party' raised curtains about TDP's collaboration with him. However, TDP sleuths are saying that their leader joined Paul only to extend his support for fight against corruption. There is a chance of Paul pulling few seats in Christian minority dominated areas and joining hands with TDP after the election. Earlier too, TDP leader, speaker late GMC Balayogi and Paul used to have good rapport which shows his closeness with Telugudesam.

Heavy Lobbying For MLA Tickets In TDP

Written By CineGlamour on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 | 5:10 pm

With by-polls for 18 constituencies are all set to take place any time in next couple of months, lobbying started for bagging tickets in all parties. The party is unable to decide between wealthy aspirants and popular leaders for allotting tickets, says a source.

In 2004 and 2009, TDP failed in certain places due to the selection of a wrong candidate, says many Telugudesam insiders. Chandrababu is taking time to select proper candidates with good financial background such that they can spend money for the elections on their own. With TDP not doing well in any front in the state, there has been a substantial downfall in the treasury of party. Industrialists and businessman are not backing Telugudesam as their stand on state bifurcation is still unclear.

In the current scenario, there is no doubt TDP will not opt for seniors and popular leaders as they depend a lot on party fund rather spending from their pockets. With the news of tickets for rich popping up, many powerful and rich brats are said to be lobbying a lot for a ticket in one of the 18 constituencies scheduled for by-polls.

Naidu Sings PRP-Tune For Tirupathi

Written By CineGlamour on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 | 2:46 pm

Like the old saying 'Be a roman when you are in Rome', TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu is singing the tune of PRP in their constituency. After kick-starting his by-poll campaign in Tirupathi, Naidu started signing PRP tune there.

Megastar Chiranjeevi's political entry is thundered with the slogan 'Samajika Nyayam' in the name of PrajaRajyam Party. However, Chiru finally merged his boat with Congress, promising people that the ruling party only can do 'social justice'. However, Naidu shocked everyone today by saying that 'Samajika Nyayam' to Tirupathi was done only in TDP's regime. 'Though we haven't highlighted it like Chiranjeevi, Telugudesam has this motto of Samajika Nyayam right from its inception', stated Naidu.

After so many days, TDP chief launched a verbal attack on Chiru for merging the party with Congress for personal interests. He went on saying that Social-Justice is missing only in Congress regime and various irregularities in TTD board exemplify it. Interestingly, TDP is fielding Chadalavada Krishnamurthy from the constituency, who earlier jumped into PRP after its formation and came back to Telugu Desam after the merger. What a 'Samajika Nyayam'!

TDP Chief's Sentiment Is Turning Threat!?

Written By CineGlamour on Monday, April 09, 2012 | 7:58 pm

Politicians generally use the 'turmoil' in state to turn vote banks their side. Scam hit Congress and CBI hit Jagan are widely used by TDP Supreme now to win support for his party. Today, he added another 'weapon' to his kitty.

In that bizarre incident at Tirumala ghat road in 2004, Maoists blasted a land mine hurting the then Chief Minister Chandrababu, who was travelling in a bullet proof car. Using 'Alipiri' incident as a weapon, Naidu dissolved the government in the State even before their tenure was ended. Shockingly, people voted for YSR in the elections, making Naidu to sit in opposition for next 9 years.

A confident Chandrababu now started his by-poll campaign for 18 constituencies from the same place where that attack took place. Political observers feel that if at all 'sympathy' works, it would have worked then only. People got a clear notion now that Naidu is using 'Alipiri' weapon once again to garner sympathy and support to TDP. Will this work for him or will it fire his own back? Congress sleuths are saying Naidu started digging grave by switching 'Alipiri' card once again.

AP's Best Political Player

A player is the one who uses all the opportunities in a game to his best to ensure win for his side. Political Analysts are now giving a 'best political player' award to TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

With Congress government falling prey to scandal after scandal, TDP Supremo is using the situation to his best. Naidu looks pretty confident that people bored with Congress' scams and Jagan's corruption will look for Telugudesam as a best alternative. He is leaving to stone unturned to attack Congress and Jagan everyday with his press meets and interviews in TV channels.

It is for this reason, analysts have picked him up for 'Best Political Player'. However, his tactful acts witnessed a loss to TDP in previous by-polls in Telangana region. One can truly say that Naidu deserves this award only if Telugudesam scores few seats in the coming by-polls in 18 constituencies.

TRP Raisers: CM Kiran, Botsa, Naidu, Jagan

Written By CineGlamour on Saturday, April 07, 2012 | 5:26 pm

Like what TV serials and game shows are for entertainment channels, these four leaders are for News Channels of Andhra Pradesh. They are mere TRP Raisers, says a report.

A survey conducted by a noted broadcasting analytics company revealed that Chief Minister Kiran Kumar and PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana are the top TRP generators. Following them are Jagan and Chandrababu Naidu. Say it a live news covering their speech or a mockery program with their cartoons or a discussion program about their future steps, the respective channels are commanding decent TRPs.

Kiran and Botsa are always food for ABN Channel, while NTV backs Chandrababu's work a lot and Sakshi needs no explanation. The survey reveals that these four are effective speakers with peculiar accent and diction in their language and satirical in terms of content. People like Shankar Rao, KK, Jana Reddy and even KCR shine here and there but never raked TRP's like those big four. But politicians are not for TRP generation, they are for forming policies in the welfare of state!

Why Only Jagan? TDP, TRS also In Race!

Written By CineGlamour on Friday, April 06, 2012 | 8:51 pm

The main counterpart for Congress seems to be YS Jagan in the upcoming elections, as per few congress leaders. Though there are strong oppositions like TDP, TRS, BJP and Communists, the ruling party is totally focusing on Jagan's party only. What if this misfires?

Entire plan of Congress State in charge Ghulam Azad is to pull down Jagan from winning seats and getting majority in upcoming by-polls. Though Congress is clear that it cannot win all seats, they are taking steps to ensure Jagan will not win on YSR card. Azad has planned to setup a panel and special co-ordination committee to improve the image of congress at grass root level. Analysts say that Congress is completely ignoring Telugudesam and TRS which are potential threats than YSR party.

While Jagan is defending only his arrest and cases on his Dad, TDP is totally maligning the government for their scam deeds. Chandrababu's attacks are distorting the image of both Congress and YSR, which is indirectly aimed at tarnishing Jagan's so called image too. On TRS part, for them it is anyways separate state card which always clicks in Telangana. It is better for Congress to focus on controlling TDP by giving proper believable answers to Naidu, rather focusing on Jagan.
