Congress sources are saying that high-command wants Rahul to take the charge of AP affairs to ensure a head raising move for Congress in 2014 elections. After meeting seniors like D Srinivas from state, Sonia Gandhi asked her son to take the driver's seat. Already, Rahul is busy meeting D Srinivas and other Congress MPs to know a brief about Andhra Pradesh. PCC Chief Botsa and Deputy CM too gave a coloring to high command that State Congress under the leadership of CM Kiran failed in many aspects.
Like Telangana movement, Jagan factors, war inside Congress party and by-poll defeat were examples. However, a faction of Congress states that Rahul is not having sufficient time to understand complete situation of the state. They say he can be helpful as a crowd-puller and of the opinion that he cannot steer AP Congress to victory.
