Petitioners open to resolve Charan's Zanjeer issue

Written By CineGlamour on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 | 3:20 pm

The remake of Amitabh Bachchan starrer Zanjeer has landed in legal trouble as the original writers of the film, Javed Akthar and Salim Khan, has approached the court few days ago over the copyright issue. Although the writers had sent legal notice to producer Amit Mehra, they are open to resolve the issue outside the court. "We are hopeful that this will be solved in friendly manner. We can still solve the issue by sitting across the table and coming to an understanding. If this didn't work, we will proceed further legally," said Javed Akthar, Bollywood renowned writer-lyricist.

The entire issue took a serious turn when the writers demanded a whopping amount for remake rights of the film and the producer is not ready to fulfill their greedy demands.

Ram Charan will step into the shoes of Amitabh and Priyanka Chopra will reprise the role of Jaya Bachchan for the remake. Versatile actor Prakash Raj, Bollywood hunk Arjun Rampal, hottie Mahie Gill were chosen for pivotal roles. Apoorva Lakhia will be directing the remake of this Iconic cop flick. Let's wish the legal trouble of the film ends soon to make this project a perfect launch for Charan in Bollywood!

Mega Family Condemns Tamanna Rumors

Written By CineGlamour on Saturday, April 21, 2012 | 4:41 pm

Rumors associate with happening stars and ravishing starlets but not with fading flowers. Likewise, a grapevine involving Ram Charan and Tamanna is doing rounds in Film Nagar, which is now condemned from an insider of Mega family.

Film Nagar buzz says that entire Mega fraternity is furling around this hot milky beauty, Tamanna. Finding her as a lucky charm, Ram Charan is heard pushing her name for his Hindi debut 'Zanjeer', which is not accepted by his director Apoorva Lakhia. However, a source from Mega family condemned this news as a baseless rumor against Ram Charan. 'They haven't proposed her name even for Yevadu and Vinayak movie, how come they push her to Hindi movie?', the source intensified his voice.

'Off course, Charan also encourages talent like Chiru, but that doesn't mean that he will run behind a particular heroine to hit bulls' eye. This family believes in script and fans, not in sentiments and glamour', he stressed. Though the statements looked exaggerated, industry people are saying that there is truth in them.

Pawan Vs Charan - who is the better cop?

Written By CineGlamour on Thursday, April 19, 2012 | 10:24 am

This may not be called as a clash but it sure will lead to comparison at a future date. We are talking about the duo of power star Pawan Kalyan and mega powerstar Ram Charan Tej. Both would be put on the same table and points will be given for their performances.

Well, Pawan is arriving as a rustic cop with mass appeal through his film 'Gabbar Singh' and this is happening soon. On the other hand, Charan has just begun shooting for his movie 'Zanjeer 2' which will see him portraying a rather intense and tough police officer who is honest and straightforward.

Given the fact that both 'Babai' and 'Abbai' are doing similar roles many are waiting to see who would do better. Most of them say it would be Pawan's role which will be entertaining and successful. However, there are those who say Charan will rock with his intensity. What do you say folks?

Ram Charan's Bollywood debut in legal tangle

Mega powerstar Ram Charan Tej has now taken off with the shooting of his debut venture in Bollywood. This is the remake of 'Zanjeer' and now it is heard that the film is facing the threat of legal action. The reason for that are the original writers of the film Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar.

Sources say the duo has consulted and hired a team of lawyers to proceed with legal action on the film. They are demanding that they are entitled for royalty since it was their story and claim that they gave the rights only to make it once which happened in the year 1974.

They are miffed that the producer of Charan's film Amit Mehra has not given a proper answer to their financial demand and declared that he got the clearance. For now, the shooting is happening without any hiccups but once the legal notices are slapped then it could land the project in trouble.

Amitab praises Charan

Written By CineGlamour on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 | 10:38 am

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi always maintained good relations and they have respect for each other. Now, Big B has conveyed his best wishes to his dearest friend's Son Ram Charan who is debuting into Hindi Film Industry with a remake of yesteryear hit 'Zanjeer.

"Charan is a very successful star in his own right in Telugu cinema, he is the son of superstar Chiranjeevi, a dear friend. I met them and wished them well. I do hope they will make a successful film,"

The legendary actor says he takes it (the remake of his film 'Zanjeer', which was a smash hit in 1973) as a compliment. "It is a compliment to the film being remade. How many films do carry the benefit of a remake, is what needs to be appreciated also," he opined. The original film 'Zanjeer' made Amitabh the angry young man of Hindi cinema. Getting into the shoes of Big B in a iconic film willn't be a cake walk for Charan. Let's hope luck favours him!

Chiranjeevi's son is very great!

Ram Charan has registered yet another big hit with Racha, which is poised to enter the top 3 list of all times hits of Telugu cinema. Charan already holds the number 1 film record and with Racha he proved that he can be a super power at the box office without any help of any well known director. Charan's talent was spotted by Bollywood director Apoorva Lakhia and he is introducing him to B town with the film Zanjeer.

This is a remake of Amitabh's yesteryear's hit Zanjeer that earned him the angry young man image. Apoorva had a choice of approaching Abhishek Bachan to play the lead role in it. The director is a very good friend of Abhishek and he would have been a good choice to remake an Amitabh's film. But Apoorva felt that only Ram Charan could be the new angry young man of Bollywood. The director and producer are taking a huge risk by roping in Charan, because he is a new face in Bollywood and it would have been easy for them to do good business if they do this film with any known Hindi actor.

But the director says that he couldn't visualize anyone other than Charan in this role. This is an honor to a Telugu actor. Even Chiranjeevi didn't command such respect from the Bollywood industry. Today Charan is getting a whopping price for doing this role. When a Bollywood superstar's son couldn't fit into his father's shoes, a Tollywood megastar's son filling those shoes is something that is extraordinary. Great going Cherry!

Ram Charan Surprises Zanjeer Team

Mega powerstar Ram Charan Tej has taken the bold step by foraying into Bollywood and this is happening through the remake of the movie Zanjeer. Now, the big question for many is- can Charan speak fluent Hindi. Well, it is heard that the young superstar has already made his preparations.

Buzz is that his character is being etched in such a way that most of the time his silence would convey what he wants to say. Of course, it is heard that Charan is fluent in Hindi but without taking a chance he has begun to have few tutorials in that language. It is heard that Ram Charan speaking flawless Hindi surprised the whole Zanjeer team.

Charan would be pairing up with the pout lipped beauty Priyanka Chopra and though the theme would be the same as the original, it is heard that the backdrop is going to change completely in tune with today's times. Charan has also taken the blessings of legend Amitabh Bachchan who did the lead role in the original.

Charan facing biggest challenge of his career

Ram Charan feels stepping into Amitabh Bachchan's shoes with the remake of iconic film Zanjeer is the biggest challenge of his life. "Till now, dealing with being Megastar Chiru's son has been a challenge. But that's nothing when compared with what I'm facing at present," said Charan, when asked how he feels to play the role portrayed by India's biggest star nearly four decades ago.

The young actor is not bothered about the comparisons being drawn between him and Big B. "All through my career, I have gone through constant comparisons. If I think about how I'll be compared with my father or Amit Ji, I wouldn't be able to get into the skin of the character. I just did the things that I'm good at and what came naturally to me," he told.

The Magadheera star says language doesn't matter much and clarified that he sees debuting into Bollywood as just like an extension of what he is already doing.

Ram Charan upset with rumors !

Ram Charan is quite upset with the rumors that Zanjeer's female lead Priyanka Chopra is getting paid more pay package than him. "Priyanka is being paid 'on par' or 'more than' Charan" is the talk in media circles.

However, the unit sources have confirmed that these reports were speculative. In fact, the makers had already paid a whopping Rs 10 crore to Charan and the young actor would be pocketing another Rs 2 crore after wrapping up the entire shoot. Overall, Charan's pay pack is Rs 12 crore (excluding other expenses). When it comes to Priyanka, she is not even getting half of what Charan is being paid. Her pay pack is just Rs 5.5 crore and another Rs 50 lakhs was allotted to her (for Travelling Expenses, Five Star Hotels accomodation and Food).

Charan clearly holds the upper hand over the film's leading lady in this 70-crore Hind-Telugu bi-lingual. Now, the actor has directed his manager to send this message to the public using the same 'media'. Seems like, Mega heroes have decided not to keep mum anymore on media speculations - the other day it was Chiru at Gabbar Singh audio launch and now it's Charan's turn!

Charan gives Hope to Flop Babes

Written By CineGlamour on Sunday, April 15, 2012 | 12:47 pm

Ram Charan has not only become a new rambling in the Bollywood circles, but he's pulling some flop babes into front line again. With Cherry becoming the talk of B-town, babes are using him to the best.

Much awaited Bollywood debut of Ram Charan, Zanjeer is finally on floors now, creating ruffles. However, as the whole national media is busy talking about Charan, his old heroines are trying to attach their tag to it. Girls like Shazahn Padamsee (Orange) and Neha Sharma (Chirutha) are heard uttering his name a lot as media will talk to them to know more about Charan. Even after doing bikini stunts in 'Housefull 2', Shazahn failed to woo Hindi circuit, while Neha Sharma is still struggling with only one flick slated for a release.

Charan's present lead girl Priyanka has recently bagged a blockbuster Agneepath and she has high expectations on 'Zanjeer' as well. In this way, Charan is giving hopes to all those flop brigade of Bollywood with his aura.
