Amitab praises Charan

Written By CineGlamour on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 | 10:38 am

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi always maintained good relations and they have respect for each other. Now, Big B has conveyed his best wishes to his dearest friend's Son Ram Charan who is debuting into Hindi Film Industry with a remake of yesteryear hit 'Zanjeer.

"Charan is a very successful star in his own right in Telugu cinema, he is the son of superstar Chiranjeevi, a dear friend. I met them and wished them well. I do hope they will make a successful film,"

The legendary actor says he takes it (the remake of his film 'Zanjeer', which was a smash hit in 1973) as a compliment. "It is a compliment to the film being remade. How many films do carry the benefit of a remake, is what needs to be appreciated also," he opined. The original film 'Zanjeer' made Amitabh the angry young man of Hindi cinema. Getting into the shoes of Big B in a iconic film willn't be a cake walk for Charan. Let's hope luck favours him!

Charan facing biggest challenge of his career

Written By CineGlamour on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 | 10:28 am

Ram Charan feels stepping into Amitabh Bachchan's shoes with the remake of iconic film Zanjeer is the biggest challenge of his life. "Till now, dealing with being Megastar Chiru's son has been a challenge. But that's nothing when compared with what I'm facing at present," said Charan, when asked how he feels to play the role portrayed by India's biggest star nearly four decades ago.

The young actor is not bothered about the comparisons being drawn between him and Big B. "All through my career, I have gone through constant comparisons. If I think about how I'll be compared with my father or Amit Ji, I wouldn't be able to get into the skin of the character. I just did the things that I'm good at and what came naturally to me," he told.

The Magadheera star says language doesn't matter much and clarified that he sees debuting into Bollywood as just like an extension of what he is already doing.

Amitabh Bachchan is fine;Requests Media Not To Stress

Written By CineGlamour on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 | 5:47 pm

There was a lot of buzz among the media circle yesterday about superstar Amitabh Bachchan undergoing CT scan. However, the actor clarified the rumours that it is just another visit to the doctor and nothing much to worry about.

Big B posted on the blog earlier, “Last night…I rose from my desk to get to bed, but excruciating pain, stopped me in my tracks and I found it difficult to walk, to stand, to sit, to lie down.
Quite horrendous! I have no answer. But tomorrow (Tuesday), there should be one as I prepare for a CT-Scan after devouring a large bottle or bottles of that yellow fluid…”

After this, fleet of media reporters gathered outside Big B’s house at 6 am today morning to enquire about the star’s health. Surprised Big B asked security the reason for the crowd waiting outside, on which he learnt that his tweet on the social-networking site had led the media jump to some wrong conclusions.

Bachchan immediately tweeted on the blog to clarify the confusion. He wrote, “Oh dear..Up at 6 am to go for dub of Bhojpuri film for my make up man..and..a fleet of media vans and tv camera chasing me? Why? Security asks media crew reason for chase, they refer to my Twitter on CT Scan..goodness! Is that what power of twitter really is? Got to be careful of what to write on Twitter
and Blog .. screenplay writers abound! Dearest tv media and vans outside my home, please do not stress and work so hard. It’s nothing, just another visit to my doctor!”

RGV's Single Shot For Hot M&M

Written By CineGlamour on Saturday, April 07, 2012 | 5:34 pm

The otherwise publicity master has failed this time to recreate his 'sensation' at Box Office. This is about a latest trailer of his upcoming film which gave only a single shot for M&M.

Ramu's latest Hindi movie is 'Department' with Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Rana in the leads. The trailer of the movie is out but hasn't got required attention as there is no piece of sensationalism in it. More than this, M&M have become hot topic among the people who watched it. In that boring lengthy trailer, RGV has given only a single shot for Manchu Lakshmi and Madhushalini.

Both these glamorous starlets are yet to start their scores in tinsel towns. Had Ramu given them a perfect share of pie in that trailer, both the 'no break' ladies might have got few applauses. With their faces passing the screens in split seconds, the hot ladies are not at all getting any 'wild' recognition. Though this 'single shot' is not yielding much in trailers, let us see how M&M will make it in the movie.

Rana 'Department' First look Poster

Written By CineGlamour on Friday, April 06, 2012 | 7:01 am

Ram Gopal Varma who scored a massive dud with his Telugu movie 'KSD Appalaraju' scooted off to Mumbai and scored some grace marks with a Hindi movie 'Not A Love Story'. But now he is back into the race and that too with a big ticket film for this summer.

This is 'Department' and the first look of the film was released today. Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Daggubati Rana, Lakshmi Manchu and others, the film is slated to be a crime thriller packed with action. The makers are looking to release the film on May 18th so the publicity has picked up.

Those who saw the posters and stills from the film are predicting that the film has the intensity of 'Sarkar' and 'Sathya' so it should score a hit. Incidentally, Ramu definitely needs one hit to bounce back into the top league of directors. The result will be known on May 18th.

Amitabh Bachchan in Zanjeer remake

Written By CineGlamour on Thursday, April 05, 2012 | 12:30 pm

Some of the big names in the Indian Film Industry are getting associated with the remake of Zanjeer, which is the launch pad of Ram Charan in Bollywood. And who would be bigger than Amitabh Bachchan? Yes, Amit ji is going to do a cameo in Zanjeer remake.

Close sources to the unit say, the director has already included a scene in the film's script, where Ram Charan (New Inspector Vijay - screen name) and Amitabh Bachchan (Old Inspector Vijay) will be seen in the same frame. "I can't imagine the remake of Zanjeer, without Amit ji. But, it's too early to say anything about it," said Apoorva Lakhia.

The makers were in talks with Priyanka Chopra for the female lead and Sanjay Dutt & Sonu Sood for the villain's role. If everything works as per the plan, Charan's debut film will be on par with any other biggie in Bollywood!
