Petitioners open to resolve Charan's Zanjeer issue

The remake of Amitabh Bachchan starrer Zanjeer has landed in legal trouble as the original writers of the film, Javed Akthar and Salim Khan, has approached the court few days ago over the copyright issue. Although the writers had sent legal notice to producer Amit Mehra, they are open to resolve the issue outside the court. "We are hopeful that this will be solved in friendly manner. We can still solve the issue by sitting across the table and coming to an understanding. If this didn't work, we will proceed further legally," said Javed Akthar, Bollywood renowned writer-lyricist.

The entire issue took a serious turn when the writers demanded a whopping amount for remake rights of the film and the producer is not ready to fulfill their greedy demands.

Ram Charan will step into the shoes of Amitabh and Priyanka Chopra will reprise the role of Jaya Bachchan for the remake. Versatile actor Prakash Raj, Bollywood hunk Arjun Rampal, hottie Mahie Gill were chosen for pivotal roles. Apoorva Lakhia will be directing the remake of this Iconic cop flick.
