MS Dhoni to get nominated to Rajya Sabha

This may sound very surprising to everyone, but there are chances that it may come true. Former Jharkhand's CM Babulal Marandi (now the leader of state Opposition party Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM)) is considering Indian skipper MS Dhoni for the Rajya Sabha nomination.

Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) party has proposed the name of Dhoni for Rajya Sabha to fill one of two vacant seats. "What's wrong if we choose Dhoni, who made India's dream of winning the World Cup come true, to the Rajya Sabha? After all, he is the son of this soil (Ranchi)," sai a senior party leader.

Sources say, JVM top brass leaders have been in talks with the Indian caption for sometime now. However, Dhoni is yet to give his final nod to the proposal. In the meantime, other political parties in the state have started alleging that JVM's move is an attempt to cash in on the popularity of Dhoni.

Azhar complains Dhoni lacks intelligence

Former India skipper Mohammad Azharuddin doubted the intelligence of captain MS Dhoni, when it comes to leading the Test side. He suggested choosing different captains for three formats (Test, ODI, T20) of the game would be a better option.

"Dhoni has always been a very good captain in ODIs and Twenty20s, but in Test cricket he lacks a bit of intelligence - Maybe when it comes to taking instant on-field decisions. I honestly believe that there should be three different captains for three formats," Azhar opined.

When quizzed him whether Dhoni is justifying his place in the Test squard, Azhar replied,"I think it's very hard for anyone to say whether he is able to justify his place in the Test team or not".

Dhoni had a poor show with his bat in the recent Test series against England and Australia. The Test series whitewashes against England and Australia has raises doubts on Dhoni's efficiency in leading the team in the longer format.
