It is known news that recently there was an earthquake in Indonesia which gave tremors to cities like Chennai and pressed the panic button among many Indians. There were also fears of tsunami so the Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal were considered dangerous to be in at that time. But one man was right there.

He is none other than Kamal Haasan. This might sound unusual but then it is heard that Kamal was present aboard the US warship USS Carl Vincent. He was there as a special guest of invite from the US government and spent quite a bit of time. However, sources say the admiral of the ship and crew didn't allow a whiff of the earthquake and tsunami to reach the ears of Kamal while he was there.

While it is not sure what Kamal has to do in a warship of the US navy, his presence sure enthralled the Americans. On the other hand, it is heard that Kamal's film 'Vishwaroopam' has got few elements connected to global terrorism so the connection might get clear once the film releases.

He is called as the Lokanayakudu by the cine buffs and he has some crazy fan following given the iconic actor he is. We are talking about Kamal Hassan and now this true performer has decided to do something he never did before. Well, it is heard that Kamal has decided to go for brand endorsements.

Sources say he has teamed up with Alliance Media & Entertainment and there is an objective behind this. Buzz is that Kamal is planning to use the funds received for social and charity causes. Buzz is that Kamal doesn't want to rely on external sources for funding hence he took up this route.

The choice is given to Kamal for picking up the brand he wants to endorse. The Alliance Media has worked with the likes of Shahrukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and others. They are also associated with the entire Bachchan family. Let us see how Kamal will make his debut in the ad world now.

For the first time in his 50 years of illustrious career, veteran actor-filmmaker Kamal Hassan will take up brand endorsements.
He has signed up with celebrity and talent sourcing and management firm Alliance Media and Entertainment Private Ltd for the purpose.
Kamal Hassan is a truly global Indian icon — a great actor, writer and film maker, who is immensely respected not only for his strong contribution to cinema, but also for his significant initiatives to helpthe underprivileged, Sunil Doshi, Founder and MD, Alliance Media & Entertainment Pvt Ltd said in a statement.
Doshi said the actor has certain plans for his work in social service, but is also unwilling to rely on external sources of funding those plans.
‘Therefore, he feels that endorsements with leading companies and brands that have a strong commitment to society and causes would be an appropriate and independent means of fulfilling his vision,’ Doshi said.
The actor-filmmaker said he had signed with Alliance Media, because he believes it provides strategic counsel to several top celebrities and personalities.
‘I look forward to yet another first that of brand endorsement — in my creative life, and to keep being able to do my bit for society,’ he said.
‘We shall soon announce which brand Kamal Haasan will be endorsing. He is known for  his ideals and principles, and needless to say, we shall advise him to pick a brand that fits with his values and stature, and will have a campaign to match,’ Doshi said.

Here comes breaking news! Star kid Shruti Haasan has grabbed another prestigious project in Bollywood. If all goes well, Shruti will star in R. Balki's next film opposite Abhishek Bachchan. It is said that after the phenomenal success of Paa, director R. Balki has plans to do a romantic musical within a nominal budget of Rs. 10 crores. Interestingly, Balki has earlier planned the film with Amitabh Bachchan, but after watching Abhishek's performance in Paa and Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey, he decided to cast him.
