Rayapati Praises CM And Distances From Party

Guntur district politics are taking an interesting turn with each passing day. This is because of the rift between Rayapati Sambasiva Rao and Kanna Lakshminarayana's groups.

With the issue of Guntur Urban SP Syam Sundar and Gopi Priya's case going cold after a couple of weeks, Rayapati has now taken a new thing to irk state Congress. Earlier, Rayapati group accused that Kanna group is responsible for the transfer of Syam, who is working honestly for Guntur city. Now, Rayapati made it clear that he is concerned about the upcoming by-polls in a couple of constituencies in district. 'Elections convener for the district will take care about party's performance in the by-poll. I'm not worried about it', Rayapati said.

It is none other than Kanna, who is taking care of the by-polls as he is the in-charge minister from Guntur. To cover-up his exit, clever Rayapti claimed that CM Kiran is doing well and only anti-forces in congress are propagating leadership change news. Though he praised CM intelligently, he distanced from party affairs once again as usual weakening the chances of Congress in Guntur.

SP in trouble for midnight calls to techie's wife

Guntur urban SP Syam Sundar has landed in trouble for making hundreds of midnight calls to a software professional's estranged wife.

Karthik, a techie, filed a writ petition in High Court alleging that the IPS Officer is in a relationship with his estranged wife Yadlapalli Gopipriya. Following the petition, the magistrate has ordered the authorities to probe the matter.

Karthik and Gopipriya got married in 2009. Differences propped up between them and for the past one year they are staying separately.On December 16, 2011- Gopipriya has filed a dowry harassment case against Karthik and his family members. She latter filed a case in a family court seeking divorce. Usually dowry harassment or divorce cases are handed by CI or SI level rank officers. But SP Syam Sundar took special interest in the case, which raised many doubts. The midnight conversations confirms the relationship between the two. Karthik approached a private detective agency to get the call list.

During the period January 1 to March 20 this year, SP Syam Sundar has made several calls to Gopipriya at odd hours. In 2012, he made 166 calls to Gopipriya in 80 days. On an average all the calls lasted for about 30 minutes. Even, Gopipriya made 226 calls to the SP. They both exchanged 1,944 SMSs in this period. However, Gopipriya denied the allegations of any relationship with the SP.

Syam Sundar, who is currently on leave, is unavailable for comment. Syam is a married man and his wife works as assistant engineer in Kerala State Electricity Board. They have a 6-month-old baby girl.
