The Parakal constituency fell vacant after the disqualification of Jagan camp MLA Konda Surekha for defying the Congress party whip during the No Confidence Motion moved by Opposition TDP.
While YSR Congress party candidate Konda Surekha is fearing defeat in the by-poll due to the strong Telangana sentiment, the TRS party is confident about the victory in this constituency. Jagan's unclear stand on the Telangana statehood issue will hamper the prospects of the party in the region. Already, TRS has declared that CM Kiran, Chandrababu and Jagan are branches of the same tree, as all of them have been opposing the bifurcation of the state.
If Konda Surekha gets defeated in the by-poll, then it will give an impression to the public that Jagan's party can't leave any impact in the Telangana region. With what strategy Jagan comes up to save Surekha from an imminent defeat is to be seen!
