Long back in 2007, Amitabh Bachchan has visited holy shrine Tirumala along with his family including Abhishek and Aishwarya. During that time Bachchan promised that he will donate 1 crore to Lord Balaji's hundi. However, he paid 10 lakhs instantly for which the priests at temple gave him a special darshan with warm receiving. From then, Amitabh has stopped visiting Tirumala before forgetting his donation promise.
Now, Tirumala rulers are cursing Bachchan for making such false promise in the name of God and are demanding that he should donate the remaining amount with interest to Lord immediately. Their say is, Celebrities are making priests fools with their false promises and are getting fast darshans. Fans of the actor felt that donating or not donating is a personal interest and TTD should not scare a devotee for repaying, as that will give wrong signals about Tirumala.
