"On a daily basis, we meet and interact with several people. As I'm in an MP, there will be many who approach me for getting some political benefits. Tara Chowdary might be one of them. Other than that, I have no connection with her. I had neither asked her to blackmail minister Kanna Lakshminarayana nor offered her Rs. 1 crore. I'm in politics since 30 years and the people know what I'm as a person. They will never believe these kind of mud-slinging acts," said Rayapati.
Rayapati opined that his voice in the Tara's audio tapes might be the work of a mimicry artist. "I'm asking for a CBI enquiry into this issue. Only then, the actual truth will come out. If I was found guilty, I'm ready to pay Rs 1 crore for Tara Chowdary. In case, if she was proven wrong then she should pay me the same amount," he challenged.
