Police were busy picking up offenders responsible for stone pelting in Madannapet and Saidapet areas which started due to desecration of a religious place. Enraged members of a particular community after finding meat and green-water at their place of worship started rallies which lead to the rampage. This lead to stabbing of five persons and setting assets on fire.
With City commissioner AK Khan going on leave for a training purpose, the mobs in Old city has once again enraged people into communal clashes. Sources are saying that two persons who want to control these areas are responsible for the clashes and they both hail from same political party. Arrests are being made in this connection and Police are saying that the situation is peaceful.
